Good food parking can be an issue when busy I had to park on a side street. No big deal though......the waitress who served us initially didn't know what type of lagers they had so we had to check ourselves.... Other than that no issues

Fantastic food and service. We went for the lunch special and we were not disappointed. Two courses for less than £9. Delicious food on offer here, right on the high street, very helpful and friendly staff, and p&d parking just round the back. We will be back!

The food was incredible - everything tasted homemade and hearty. The gravy was rich and full of flavour, and both meats were perfectly tender. The cauliflower cheese was honestly one of the best l've had in ages
- so hard to find one that isn't watery, but this was cheesy perfection.
They even have a Sunday roast offer of two for £42 including a bottle of wine - such good value for the quality and portion sizes.
Desserts were the perfect finish: a dark chocolate brownie that was pure chocolate heaven and an apple & berry crumble that was fruity, warming and comforting.
Safe to say l'll definitely be back - next time it might have to be that fish platter!

Visited today for lunch with my friend and dog, we hadn’t booked but we were seated straight away. There’s not many pubs that do proper traditional home cooked food but this place does. The food here is really good, very tasty and generous portions. \nWe ordered the mushroom and truffle soup to start with, mains were steak baguette & chips , cottage pie and then a kids sausage & mash for the dog.\nStaff are very friendly and welcoming, even to my big dopey dog that kept getting in their way :)\nI will 100% be returning and definitely recommend to anyone looking for good home cooked food

Thought it would be worth giving this restaurant a second chance and so glad we did. The food was delicious, amazing burger, the fries were also great and a lovely pint of Hawkstone to wash it down with. The only disappointment was the service wasn't on.point, ended up paying at the bar in the end, but in all fairness it was a Friday night and pretty busy, so don't let this put you off visiting. 100% would recommend booking a table in advance.

The staff were really welcoming and kind. When I got there it was when it opened and the staff turned the heating straight on so we could walm up. The food was really good and tasty. Pink Lady.

This is honestly some of the nicest ice cream I’ve ever tasted, and the parlour itself has such a lovely, welcoming vibe. However, what really made the visit stand out was the lady with pink hair who served us. From the moment we stepped inside, she greeted us with a genuine smile and asked about our day, instantly making us feel at ease. Her warmth and personality shone through in every interaction, and it added so much to the whole experience. It’s rare to come across service that feels this natural and sincere, and it turned what was already a treat into something really memorable. A big thank you to her for making our visit so special.

I have been to Cosmo many times. I absolutely love the place. Last night I went with my partner for a lovely meal and cocktails. Everything was fabulous as always. However I have to give a special mention to the amazing waitress serving our food. I think she was called Aisha ?. She was so lovely, polite and professional. The service was exceptional.

Your kindness has gone a long way, in restoring our faith , in human nature!
A couple of weeks ago, we enjoyed a delicious takeaway from NASEEB's.
The food was very tasty, hot, and certainly plentiful! We were more than happy with our meal, and shall certainly be visiting this establishment again, very soon!
After we had enjoyed our meal, a knock on the door, brought one of the main staff from NASEEB's to visit us. We were surprised to see him. Puzzled, we asked if everything was okay. Apparently, my husband had left his phone and wallet, on the seat, while he was waiting for our food to be prepared. He left, and drove home, completely unaware that he had left his things on the seat! ( his wallet had all the usual things in.....bank cards, driving license, and unusually, plenty of cash too!)
He hadn't missed it, until he saw the member of staff, at our front door, with it!
Needless to say, hubby was very relieved, and we are both so grateful, for the prompt return!

Well what can I say our first visit and it sure won’t be our last . The staff here were amazing especially our waitress Jade nothing was too much trouble for her as a large group of people all wanting different things and she was up and down the stairs all the time. Food was amazing and the service was unbelievable as mentioned Jade had her work cut out with us all but remained so attentive to all our needs. Can highly recommend the steak and the desserts which we ended up taking home as portions were unbelievable. Highly recommend we will be back very soon. Thanks la Rocca and especially Jade

I have walked on by with Dione Warwick and Paulicarus a few times without giving this bar a moments thought. I think Riley's infers an Oirish bar. As it is on the Chorley real ale trail we decided to knock it off. Turns out we love it. Three real ales on handpump. Paulicarus had a Pentrich brewery bitter and then a new Manchester brewery..Green Arches. So had to try their stout. Both lovely. A lovely interior plus a few outside seats. Perfect on a sunny September Saturday. Food looks tempting.

The interior is comfortable and nicely decorated, celebrating the history of the pub and the local area. There is also a spacious beer garden. The pub hosts regular events featuring live music, and these are consistently organised and managed with the utmost professionalism.

After a long day of climbing, I arrived at the Red Lion Pub only to discover that food is officially served until 9 pm. Even though I was a bit late, the staff's warm welcome and exceptional service made up for it. Works Christmas do, been here a few times. The gluten-free choices are good. The place itself has a good atmosphere and clean. The staff lovely, couldn't ask for more. Thank you and see you again in 22 ❤️

Still go here it's now 2024. Food is still as good, staff still as helpful and friendly.

Nice local traditional pub, great open fire, staff who served us should be told not to hold glasses at top? Some of the locals dont seem to be too friendly to strangers getting served at the bar obstructing their seats, no vaping signs up but idiot sat near us got away with it openly.

Three for lunch. Quiet place, nice and attentive staff and, as a club/pub owner ourselves, maybe would benefit from some worthwhile customer service training. The reason I say this is starter's were delivered but not with cutlery which obviously should have been delivered to the table first.
Otherwise, an enjoyable experience.
Atmosphere was okay but not very busy maybe because it was a weekend.

We were so impressed with our takeaway from Mays last night I felt compelled to write a review. The food was fantastic, portions just right, not too expensive and ready to collect promptly. Delivery not available but it’s straight forward to collect with plenty of parking and a cash machine right outside the takeaway. We will definitely return.

Where do I start,I started drinking there in 1974 at the age of 14,(things were different then).I moved out the area in 1984,and went travelling until I walked back into the elephant 3 months ago.There was no change to the atmosphere, it still felt the same,that's what I missed wherever I went,,,,it's years of personality embedded into the walls ouzing out,its been revamped,but you can still feel the history.I couldn't give a five star rating for the food as I didn't eat there,,,When your ma says she's cooking,,,,I go home,,,enjoy popping in for a good natter with the manager,,,,she's glaswegian and brilliant,,
