My husband and our friends were shooting at Kelbrook and I was in charge of the friends dog so asked where I could walk and was told about a mile over the fields on the designated footpaths I would come across the Black Lane Ends pub and what a great decision that was. The weather wasn’t great but still warm and after ordering a lovely large ( of course ) glass of Shiraz I chose to sit outside , puppo and I were made to feel more than welcome inside but I wanted to be outside . I sat out front on the furniture there ( there’s a garden at the rear and a kiddies park I noticed ) and just enjoyed the nothingness of the view. Whilst I was ordering my wine I saw food been brought out and told my party to come here once they had done so we could eat and it didn’t disappoint. We had steak sandwiches and when mine came out with a dressing on the side salad without hesitation changed it for one without ( it was my fault entirely as I had completely forgotten to say no dressing ) , my husband had a lamb sandwich and our friend ordered sides of black pudding bites . All of the food was amazing, the young ladies were attentive and the landlady was lovely. They even have a little doggy dish of meat ends in gravy £3 or £4 I couldn’t remember as we didn’t order as our dog can’t eat that but my 5 back home would have loved that . So what was a stumble across this gem turned out to be a true diamond and we will definitely be visiting again

Went here during the blues festival, so, we were a little bit drunk, the host of the restaurant was lovely and accommodating regardless, the food we ordered was great and filling. Worth a visit! Two meals (without a drink) only cost us £20. Unreal value that. Keep this place alive

Proper British cafe. Food is amazing and service is even better

I have a gluten allergy and they offer fantastic accommodations for it and more importantly make you feel comfortable they understand and take it seriously

On top of the quality food and friendly service, you then have such a fantastic view over the nature reserve and surrounding farmland. I would choose to sit outside on the benches and enjoy in any weather

Had a takeaway this evening from here , was delivered within 40 minutes. Had starter and main course and food was great we both had chicken which was really well cooked and plenty of it . 5 stars from us .

Lovely little fish n chip shop! The man was really friendly and super helpful. Gave us a little carton of chips while we waited for the fish to be cooked. And the food was great too

We have been here a couple of times and our visit this week I bought my young nieces as they love a good curry. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food! The staff are so attentive and want to ensure that they give you the best experience. They even offered to make my niece her own, more milder version of their butter chicken. I can't recommend enough, the guys here are so lovely and friendly, they really go out of their way for you and the food is beautiful. Thank you so much.

The batter...Is Out Of This World, it's thick and crunchy, THE best I've ever tasted and they wrapped my battered sausages separately to my chips which kept it crispy. We drive from Burnley to come here.

Called in with a friend who lives 5 minutes away from the Spinning Mill to have lunch. Clean and pleasant surroundings with friendly and polite service. The menu is simple and honest pub food, nicely presented on the plate, tasty and filling. Prices are easy on the pocket too. Good selection of draught beers and spirits. Overall we were both very happy with the visit and we'll certainly call in again. If you're looking for a cosy local pub for a quick bite to eat, the Spinning Mill is just the ticket.

Very consistent and good value.
We enjoy the special curry, or chicken curry, and the special fried rice is excellent also.
