Artisan Cafe & Wine Bar Ltd

Lovely little bar. Staff were efficient, friendly, helpful and polite. The bar itself was clean, tidy and comfortable. However, the toilets leave a lot to be desired ? They definitely need some stronger/nicer air-freshener, the floor was horrible, (reminding people of 80s/90s nightclub dance floors), your feet literally stick to the floor, the toilet seats are loose and move all over. However, they do have a lovely refresh selection in the toilets including products for ladies, perfumes, etc. Outside seating area, was clean and comfortable, though they could do with more ashtrays available as there was only 1, so some people then used the floor as it was on a table at the end of the outside area. There's no parking at the place but there are free car parks within a stones throw. Overall a lovely little bar which could be made brilliant if they upgrade/update the toilets.

Absolutely amazing customer service top class food as well and very polite staff got free shots and oranges as a thank you at the end after paying will definitely be going back

FLAMES BAR AND GRILL

Visited this evening with my partner and friend for a partners birthday meal. First time visiting being from Wales and was absolutely blown away by the quality of food and service. Nothing was too much trouble both the owner and the barmaid/waitress were so friendly and helpful. The food was superb quality and well presented. The atmosphere was lovely and excellent decor. Will be visiting again when on the area. Thank you for a superb evening! Da iawn diolch

Ordered new yrs eve, excellent as always. Best Indian by far. Preordered during the day for 7.10pm deceivers. 7.05 delivered, piping hot. Its now our New year's eve meal every year. ?

I ordered over the phone, the woman was lovely! I misunderstood and ordered the wrong pizza ( not their fault at all) when I rang to say the wrong one had been delivered even though I was in the wrong they delivered a fresh pizza for us. Most takeaways wouldn’t be so understanding. Food was amazing !

Absolutely love my dinners/breakfasts from Marie. She has a great selection of food from breakfast sandwiches/cold sandwiches daily specials soups salads etc

Marie does the best homemade sausage rolls and recently I tried her homemade southern fried chicken for the chicken burgers and wow that coating is something else Absolutely delicious.

Marie is always friendly as are all the customers I have issues with crowds of people and sometimes it can be quite busy but everyone has banter and all chat together it's like going to your mums house to be honest.

Love the food here. Love the service grub at the hub is hidden on darwen services but I would highly recommend you pop in and have a visit for breakfast or lunch

Been going for year's and always enjoyed the whole experience, spotless, excellent food and service.we no longer live in Darwen,we live in Clitheroe but if we want an Indian we always go to Anaz.Kid-friendliness: Love to see children.

Always well stocked. Cash machine inside and can also get cashback at the till. Have alot of non-branded items so it doesn't feel expensive like some local shops can be. Staff always really pleasant. Parking directly outside.

This was our first time ordering from Bilash, and after reading the reviews on Google, we decided to give it a try.

We sampled a variety of dishes, including Chicken Pakora, Donner Wrap, Chicken Madras, Chicken Korma, Chicken Biryani, and Chicken Tikka Chilli Masala along with a few more

The food arrived much faster than expected, was piping hot, packed with flavor, and absolutely delicious—all at a very reasonable price.

We've sampled every Indian restaurant in the area and beyond and this one is hands down the best.

Visited here whilst in the area visiting family, reminds you of the dark old pubs/venues of the 80s/90s. But lots of entertainment and a fabulous karaoke most nights.

Best pizza takeaway in Darwen, they never get an order wrong no matter how complicated it is. Always good delivery and the pizza is always so tasty and no bad stomach the next day.

No. 39 Kebab And Pizza House

The service is just as great as the food and PRICES are amazing very cheap.Ordering is easy, the staff is always friendly and polite, and our order is always ready on time. Even when we’ve had it delivered, it arrives hot and fresh, which is a big plus.

Tasty Village Darwen

I dont know why there has been some negative reviews of this take away. We ordered the grilled chicken and grilled half chicken with salad and fries. The order arrived a little earlier than expected and it was fresh and hot. The chicken was well seasoned, cooked perfectly, succulent and hot. The fries were crispy and cooked well. We definitely enjoyed our meals and would recommend these dishes.

Been using this chinese for a couple of years and for the first time ordered some food for my mother. She had been complaining she couldnt find a decent chinese since she move. She gave her meal 9 out of 10 she said she only found 1 king prawn in her special chow mein, therefore list a point. Very good meals, portion sizes and service 5*

Fabulous bar with a glittering array of real ales - And! The only bar in the borough to serve German wheatbeer (weissbier) on tap! Plus a few Belgian beers in bottle form (Delerium, Chimay) So tasty! Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, tasty snacks, live music on selected evenings, outside seating area. Ding dong! Fridinger-a-go-go!?

Love love love the friendly, helpful staff and the amazing food here and generous portions, there's always somewhere to sit (inside or out) and the toilets are always clean

Never noticed this place before but I saw it had good reviews so wanted to try. The men inside the takeaway were so sweet, and the food was absolutely delicious. Didn’t expect such big portions for the price! The food was not spicy at all which we were happy with, but if you prefer more spice let them know. Will definitely order again.

Sunnyhurst Pub

I'll probably say this is one of the nicer pubs and if not the nicest pub in town, it's perfect on a sunny day out front in a lovely spot in Darwen. If you're planning a walk do visit here on your way back down. It's tradition ?

Really nice Sandwich shop! Which can be hard to find now a days. Lovely kind staff, good prices and good quality food! I’m quite fussy with my food but they always work around me like cutting fat off and changing my fried eggs to porched eggs and it’s never a problem. I would recommend anyone to go here for lunch if you’re local.

Love the butties from here, never tight with the fillings and a fair price for them I always get a large one, there are awesome cakes that are very tempting and a decent size and the pies are great too

Great place to go and have a drink, staff are friendly and welcoming, and even the door staff are great friendly and inviting and willing to engage with customers, and not stand there like max and paddy, so I would recommend anyone to go and check it out

Riverside Heights Restaurant

Me and my partner went for the first time yesterday and as soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by David who we now know runs the restaurant with his wife and a team great staff. The food was delicious and freshly made. It was relaxing and spotless and anyone who likes good home cooking at a reasonable price won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back. Darwen's best kept secret.

Friar Rugg's Fish & Chip Shop

Excellent service, staff were lovely.First time visiting, will definitely visiting again when in the area.Spotless, take away or eat in.We chose to eat in.Food portions are massive, pudding chips peas and gravy was our order today it was lush.

Eddies Wood fired Pizza

Waited for an hour and a half after being told it would be delivered in an hour but not a massive deal. Then found that they had missed the fries from the order, double checked and I've paid for them. Tried phoning but the number on the email is incorrect and the other number just rings out and goes to voicemail

Update: They phoned me and apologised for the missed order and offered a discount for the next order. Can't complain at that. Good customer service.
