I visited the Royal George last with my family and had the pleasure of dining out at this wonderful establishment. The food was cooked and presented to an exceptional level and will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and family. The service received from start to finish was at an extremely high standard and can't thank the staff and the chef enough for making the evening such a relaxing experience. Had heard that the new chef is good so we thought we would try the Royal George again. The chef is good. The three of us enjoyed our evening meal and the service was friendly. Will return.
An undiscovered gem of a pub with rooms. Customer service was first class from time we arrived to the time we left. Arriving at 6.00pm on a Sunday we discovered that the kitchen closed at 5.00pm, but the chef overheard our disappointment and interrupted his own meal to serve us a roast dinner!!The food was superb and the staff friendly and welcoming.
