Farmer Brown's Ice Cream
Woodrow Farm, Huttoft, AlfordThe food, fabulous, the ice-cream, simply wow!!! The farmer was around & had a chat with us, bringing us a glass of fresh & creamy milk (my children only ever having drunk 'carton' milk). Shame we missed the Highland Coos, but the food & hospitality were well worth the stop there. Recommend.

9A Market Pl, AlfordOn a visit to Alford I popped in to try a pork pie. It was delicious. The cakes were also amazing so we all took a different one each. They were all stunning. I highly recommend this place if you’re local or passing through, stop and grab a bite to eat . Everything hot and cold looks amazing. 100% recommended

Willoughby Arms
Church Ln, Willoughby, AlfordWhilst staying in chapel we couldn’t find anywhere with a nice atmosphere or good food until we went here.
This place made our holiday, the atmosphere was brilliant, the food fantastic and the landlady (sorry if that’s the wrong term) was lovely.
Village pub atmosphere with a fantastic modern element. Would love this to be my local if we didn’t live miles away.

The White Hart, 7 South St, AlfordStumbled across this little gem last night, we were hustled into playing the quiz lol ? had a fantastic evening the landlady and her staff are wonderful it's an old fashioned type of pub with a great bunch of locals who made us most welcome we will definitely be going back it's a lovely place to be . X

The Vista at The Boatshed
Unnamed Road, AlfordMe and my family all went for their special roll which has crispy bacon, a thick and tender sausage patty and some melted cheese and a hash brown. The wait time was incredibly short and the staff were friendly. Very good restaurant that should be recognised more. Also you can bring your dog here which is a nice touch.

17 High St, AlfordJust called in for the first time ,lovely welcome .Ordered 3/4 pound burger (its huge) and sweet chilli chicken with rice .Brilliant food great size ,highly recommend will be back when visiting the area again

New Golden Delight Takeaway
24 S Market Pl, AlfordWe came from out of the area to try this because we've really not found fresh good quality chinese food, and find the menus are often a little dull.
We chose NGD because it had tofu on the menu. We were not disappointed.
Staff were really friendly and helpful in accommodating vegan options and there is a wide menu already which was great.
The food was hot and fresh and all the dishes were large tubs.
We had salt and pepper tofu which was delicious and several other dishes all good. We might have liked a bit more spice and flavour in singapore noodles but we enjoyed everything. Sauces were not overly thickened, and not too salty.
This is without a doubt the best chinese we have had from quite a distance. We will look forward to returning.

The Orient
3 High St, AlfordWe stayed a mon-fri in the area, and when we arrived, we were starving, so we went to the nearest Chinese for a takeaway. Thank goodness we found this one! The food was so good we returned on Thursday night for more!

Panda House
3 High St, AlfordI visited this Chinese while I was camping at a nearby campsite. No delivery service but quick for collection. Food was lovely and hot. The lady who took my order was polite and friendly. I'd definitely order from this takeaway again

Waggon and Horses
Main Rd, LouthJust had a lovely meal at The Wagon and Horses. Spoiled for choice and the home cooked food was absolutely delicious. All of the staff were extremely friendly and catering, especially to my 11 month old daughter. Will most definitely be coming back again. Thank you very much!

The Red Lion Hotel
Main Road, Withern, AlfordThe Red Lion is a good pub to go to in a nice setting. The owners are very friendly and do there upmost to keep it looking nice. We need to support this pub. It has been shut for far too long with the Covid, highly recommended.

It feels like it should be a really up market restaurant,
The menu and food is good and the setting is good, the staff are friendly but I feel like something better could be on offer here.
