The Picnic Hut
73 Staithe St, Wells-next-the-SeaThe Picnic Hut, Wells-Next-Sea has a sign outside saying “Probably the best Crab Sandwiches In Norfolk” - WRONG, they are DEFINITELY THE BEST CRAB SANDWICHES IN NORFOLK. Choice of bread (Wholemeal with crab?) and generous brown crab as a base with just as generous white crab above, so tasty and fresh. Washed down with an Orio milkshake. We can also recommend the sausage &/or bacon rolls too from a previous visit. Friendly staff too and literally two minutes walk to the harbour.

Fenspirits Larder
16 Freeman St, Wells-next-the-SeaDon’t forget to pop over the road to Whin Hill across the road; they collaborated on their Apple Spirit. Nice to see when local craftspeople collaborate. All the best! I will enjoy the Navy Strength gin back in Tokyo and remember Norfolk.

French's Fish Shop Ltd
10 The Quay, Wells-next-the-SeaTop notch fish and chips! Chosen on first visit to area due to Google reviews - the reviews are correct, this is the place to come. Fish and chips as good as you will find anywhere in the UK. Fish was thick and juicy, with a light crisp batter; chips were excellent, portion sizes hit the spot! Would repeat visit when back in the area. Strongly recommended!

Ollie`s Restaurant
Station Rd, Wells-next-the-SeaEvery time we visit wells we always go to Ollies for food. They are friendly and very accommodating (dogs welcome!). They don’t try to be fancy and that’s what we like! It is good, honest food. The food is always home cooked, of a high standard and big portion sizes. It’s fantastic value for money and it’s the best around!

Plattens
12A The Quay, Wells-next-the-SeaHaving tried both fish and chip restaurants in Wells over consecutive days, Plattens received our 'Best in Wells' award! We had generous, piping-hot, freshly-cooked servings of cod wrapped in wonderfully crisp batter with well-cooked chips and above average curry sauce. Great food, served on plates not paper trays, proper cutlery not wood. Excellent!Noteworthy details: Like most of north Norfolk, this is a dog-friendly restaurant. The restaurant was busy but nonetheless tidy and every time a table was vacated staff cleaned it immediately.
