Excellent ambience from the onset. Lovely village gastro pub with accommodation. This time was a special treat so we stayed in the new Villa lodge with a hot tub for the ‘Sunday supper club’ We had a Fabulous lunch and absolutely excellent evening meal, every meal coming out of the kitchen looked amazing and very well presented, they were very busy so well done chefs… ???? We had a family stay in the Durham Ox this weekend for a birthday celebration. We stayed in three of the rooms Blue Room, Field Room and the Studio, all were extremely clean, comfortable and attractively presented with tea/coffee facilities and bottled water. The food was excellent and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. A special thank you to Adam. We have visited the Durham Ox many times over the last 30 years and believe it is at its best!

We first came here over 18 years ago and only returned in late 2022. It was so good we went back again recently and found it just as good. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and helpful, and this extended to the team running the restaurant that night.
