We visited the Dog and Gun whilst having a family weekend in Osmotherley. The pub is warm and welcoming . The Sunday lunch was exceptional , our group chose various meals and every one of them was very good. One of our party is dairy intolerant which sometimes really limits a Sunday lunch but she was very well catered for and they even made her a Yorkshire pudding. Went here for a birthday meal. The atmosphere was lovely - friendly and busy but not too noisy. Our dog was made to feel properly welcome and it was a relaxing atmosphere for him too. The food was great - really good quality pub food. Beer choice was good and tasty. Staff were very attentive but didn't hassle us. Would definitely return....

I recently took my niece and great nephew for Sunday lunch. Food was superb, the beer was excellent and the staff are first class. This place never ever disappoints, I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
