Main St, West Witton, LeyburnStaying down the road , for a weeks break, we visited the fox &hounds for late arrival food ,and a few beers , lovely hosts, very friendly, so we came back again after our days out with the dog, everyone is so friendly, very relaxing inside and outside, :).lovely place, done out well, Alexa in the garden for you to play your own music brilliant !!

Thwaite Arms
Horsehouse, LeyburnFantastic welcome from landlord stopping in for a midday half. Utterly uspoiled traditonal pub in one of the most spectacular and remote areas of the Yorkshire Dales. The beer garden is one of the finest in the U.K, with hill views and beautifully kept flower beds on all sides.
The only comparison to something this well-preserved is The Birch Hall Inn (Beck Hole) in the North York Moors.

West Burton Village Shop and Tea Room
Greenview, West Burton, LeyburnA nice little shop selling all the basics to tie you over until you can a bigger shop in Hawes or Leyburn. You can reserve your newspaper too, if you want to. Lovely staff.We stayed in West Burton in early January, so the tea room wasn't open, understandably.

Fairhurst’s at Berry's Café and Farm Shop
Swinithwaite, LeyburnThis was a fantastic find. Booked afternoon tea for a ruby wedding celebration. The cafe was absolutely perfect. So helpful in every possible way. Delicious food and really looked after our gluten free guest too! (Who I had forgotten to add in advance, so I'm really grateful for them saving the day!)
Cannot recommend enough. Thank you so much.
