Lovely ambiance and food, dog friendly too. We ate quite late, but had a lovely meal and didn’t feel rushed at all, despite being the last people there. Would highly recommend here and we’ll definitely be back in the future. Feels very Victorian and upmarket.
Second visit after a great experience in April. Unfortunately today was disappointing. I don't know if they have new management at Albert's but the food wasn't the same standard and the staff were not as attentive. As someone who works in customer service, I know the number one rule is put your customer first, whatever you're doing behind the bar, however interesting your conversation with your colleagues may be attend to the customer immediately. We usually eat here in the evening but unfortunately they do not seem to open in the evenings at the moment so went here for lunch instead. The food is still outstanding but the level of service has dropped and does not seem as professional as on previous occasions.
