Lovely food. Honestly the best we have EVER had in Whitby. Much better than papas or the magpie. Prices are fair. Portions are HUGE and absolutely worth every penny. Staff were polite and quick.
We had the trio of scallops ,prawns and cod with mixed veg salad and medium haddock. Chips and mushy peas , this is the second time we have been here ! Very clean and fish cooked perfectly beautifully tender and not over cooked!! We were told to go to the magpie , and we were pleased with our decision!food was fabulous cooked well and staff attentive , thank you x

Probably the best fish & chips I’ve ever eaten. The young waitress said she’d only been working there since February but you couldn’t fault the service - efficient, friendly and smiling despite being rushed off her feet. Other staff seemed similarly friendly and welcoming. It’s definitely top of our list for fish and chips in Whitby??
