The Shambles Tavern is the only pub on York's historic street and you'd be forgiven for thinking it was just another gift shop. Don't be fooled though as this is a great little café styled tavern with a small bar to the front, a nice low beamed back room, upstairs space and an inventive beer garden under the cover of the Shambles Market. A great little pub right outside the Shambles Market. The food was delicious and the environment was warm and welcoming. Izzy was a great hostess and I would recommend stopping in for a bite and drink if you’re in the area.
