Lovely food, well presented and tasty, I had a lovely curry. Was very pleased to see whitebait as a starter, it's not often I see it. Service was great, we were greeted as soon as we came through the door and drinks sorted for us straight away. Would definitely go

First time here, lovely friendly staff, the food is not only delicious but you get so much! Will definitely be coming back!Overall nice staff, nice atmosphere, great food, good price! What more could you want.

My husband and I ate here while staying overnight in York, it's a quaint little pub. The menu isn't as extensive as other pubs we've been to. I had the hot roast sandwich not knowing what the meat inside would be, turned out to be beef on a large roll with chips and a really large pot of coleslaw. My husband had the chicken parmo which he thought would be like a chicken parmigiana with tomato sauce & cheese but this came with bechamel sauce & Parma ham on the top.
