Can't understand all the negative reviews for doorstaff. If you have nothing to hide, why kick off about being searched? They are simply trying to keep the place safe for everyone. If you don't like it, try somewhere else! It must be very difficult to run a bar that has people sent in by third party bitter people to give bad reviews. Well done stone roses bar york, keep it up!
Visited on a Saturday afternoon. I thought it would be busy but it wasn't.They don't have a coffee machine so we had soft drinks.The place is great, fab atmosphere, lovely staff, great music.Due to the buildings age it isn't wheelchair accessible as far as I could tell. The 3 steps in to the building are quite deep and worn but I managed in my clutches.If I'd had cash on me, for the deposit on the pool table, we'd probably have stayed longer.You can't park outside, there's double...read full review

Absolutely love the Stone Roses bars after being in the one's in York and Leeds I highly recommend them both. Excellent bars for indie music/rock music bar lovers!
