Stayed in the hotel 1 night and can't fault anything. My room was nice, clean and had everything I needed. Comfy bed and quiet room.Food was lovely and staff were nice and helpful. Would definitely stay
Back in the day we used to visit The Wheatsheaf several times a year for the Sunday carvery. It was always excellent and there were always literal queues out of the door, if you didn't get there before 12pm you couldn't get a table as it was always fullWe went there and arrived after 12, there was only us and one other table occupied, and that's how it stayed the entire time.We had Sunday lunch which while there was nothing wrong with it, it wasn't good either. Called in for tea as I'd forgot to put my slow cooker on this morning. Ordered Scampi with mushy peas and chips. My other half had the burger. I must say we enjoyed our meal very much and that's the best scampi & chips I've ever had, mushy peas were amazing. They have Beaver Town Neck Oil on tap with fancy glasses to serve. You won't be disappointed as with previous management. Will definitely be back! The staff are lovely..Thankyou
