Visited just for food and drinks. We ordered lunch and were served by a very helpful member of staff. We ordered Ale Fresco and sandwiches. The salmon sandwich was out of stock so chose another. Sandwiches were tasty, served with chips and salad. The building is very historic and interesting to visit.
It was a wet Thursday afternoon that we sort solace in what looked to be the perfect place to refuel after a long day seeing the sights of Southwell.Having read up on what to expect, we entered to find. The bar wasn't duly attended. So we waited a considerable time before a young man appeared. No apology for our wait. We spent part of new year's eve in here. The bar area we were allowed in was quiet but this suited us as we were with family members that live quite a way away, so we could talk. The rest of the hotel looked extremely busy with people staying overnight and the comedy club in another area. All our party enjoyed themselves and we all said we'd do it again.
