Well it’s a beautiful place and GREAT SERVICE! Room exceptional!I stay at a lot of hotels and I was worried when I read the reviews I have to admit, BUT what a load of waffle! We did the tasting menu here with the accompanying wine flight, it was very good food which was well put together. The restaurant and surroundings are a fantastic setting with roaring fires and a great atmosphere, with friendly service.My only comment on the tasting menu it would be nice to have another hot course.
Really beautiful cosy pub, perfect English countryside stopover. It’s exactly what you think of when you think of a lovely but posh pub in the country. The food was amazing, portions needed to be bigger though. It was my birthday and i got glass of bubbly and a small dessert. The food did take over an hour to arrive, the service was amazing but i had to take a star off for the wait. Chocolate tart was insanely good. Would come back but the portions left something to be desired.
