Whistlers Restaurant
9 Middle Row, Chipping NortonI had the best pork belly dish I have EVER had last night, at Whistler’s. And I have had a few! The combination of AMAZING pork belly, amazing potato creations and the purple sprouting broccoli and buttery, sauce and puréed veg, honestly .. out of this world and nothing has topped this . On top of that , the bread and olives were a stunning surprise, all homemade and warm, a clever brown and white mixed mini loaf, crispy on the crust and light and fluffy inside, paired with balsamic butter.. something I have never had but , trust me, it was an absolute treat! The staff are outstanding too. 10/10 for the best place to eat in Chipping Norton. Thank you, I’m planning my next visit ♥️

The Swan, Ascott-under-Wychwood Cotswolds
4 Shipton Rd, Chipping NortonA lovely place far from all, nice room (#2), super quiet nights, very comfortable beds, great atmosphere in the pub (when the fire is lighted). Great food, super choice and top quality. Thanks to Jakob and all his teammates who slowed his English to make it understandable. Thanks to all for your efforts to try understand our non-native speaking English. And top music. Just a question 'bout that. Where did you get my playlist? ?. In a word : Do not hesitate for a stunning moment. I'll come back, I'm sure. Signed by the belgian one-side lightened Porsche owner.?

Cafe de la Post
Cornerstone, Horse Shoe Ln, Chadlington, Chipping NortonHome away from home! There is no better place than the Cafe de la Post! This quintessential little cafe is made very special by the even more special ladies who run it. Tracy, Carolyn and La are the soul of this place and Tracy is the pillar holding it all together.Living in Charlbury, we discovered the Cafe during lockdown. It was where we got our takeaways coffees and sat across the road on the little hill soaking up the view. Since then, it is a must go at the weekend and we SO miss it if we can’t go.The services it provides to the community from newspaper subscriptions to postal deliveries and beyond, make it a vital part of Chadlington.Oh yes, and the food… honest homemade food, priced at a decent price to serve the local community. Delicious homemade cakes, great choice of wines and treats and basic groceries available. It’s a gem!!

Thai To Go
Worton Rd, Middle Barton, Chipping NortonAbsolutely 5* We were staying in an AirBnB in Enstone and were looking for a last nights stay treat as the local pub serving food was not open, WOW! Sheep St, Charlbury, Chipping NortonSuper-delicious meal (we had three generous courses and would have eaten more if internal “room” allowed ?) and smiley, charming service! The Chequers, Cotswolds
Church Rd, Churchill, Chipping NortonWe booked a table for 4 at least 1 month in advance at 8 pm. When we got there the table had just been freed and it took 20 min or longer to get it ready for us. We stayed in the bar area with all the people watching tv and 5 dogs rubbing on our clean clothes . It was a special week end in the Cotswolds and therefore disappointed. They had run out of stuffed rolled lamb so they substituted for a lamb steak which was thin, dry and full of nones. The best was the cheese soufflé but that was it . Cotswolds is so overrated and difficult to get a simple good meal .

Beijing Gourmet
3 Market St, Chipping NortonIt isn't a restaurant anymore, but the takeout food was AMAZING! The salt and pepper chicken was well seasoned and delicious and the beef with oyster sauce was great! The set meals are also quite good as they are well priced for their items. The person at the front desk was kind and friendly, so there were absolutely no issues whatsoever.

The electric charging station at the pump, as on many other shell station was a complete failure as always and was not working despite showing on app as working. Were it not for Bilal, I would have been stuck miles away from home. Thanks a million.
