We treated ourselves tot he full tasting menu which was 10 courses. Each dish is limited in size but the quality is outstanding with amazing flavours packed into each one. We started the evening in the garden which is delightful, we were lucky to have great weather. Halfway through the dinner we moved in side. The staff are excellent and very accommodating. Such a pleasure to eat food that is easily comparable to the likes of La Colombe in Constantia and Franschhoek, South Africa. Amuse bouche, bread service and sweet treat at the end were all delicious and a lovely addition to the meal. If I were to fault anything it would the roast potatoes but this is not only an Orwells issue but most establishments who offer roast potatoes on their menu. Our second time to Orwell's; this time with foodie guests who have treated us to Michelin starred restaurants in the past. Every single dish, and we all had different ones over a three course meal, was absolutely, mouthwateringly delicious. I don't eat meat but didn't feel like the veggie options were an afterthought at all, as can happen in some restaurants; they were well considered, interesting and varied. Definitely one of my top places to go.
