The restaurant is really nice and the garden was really lovely. The road noise is a bit, but if that really bothers you then I'd recommend sitting inside. The starters were a bit disappointing as the honey mustard glazed chipolatas are not glazed at all, it is a dip, and the calamari was overcooked. We’ve stopped here a couple of times on our way home from grandchildren care and we really rate it very highly as a superbly well-run pub restaurant. Last night confirmed this view with a warm welcome (we hadn’t booked), a great table in a busy restaurant, an outstanding waitress and delicious food. We were a large group of 15 having choices from the Christmas menu. The food was very good and served nice and hot. They paid attention to details such as food intolerances. We were pretty well all served at the same time despite having different choices. Service was good. It was warm and festive. Lovely atmosphere.
