The Laroch Restaurant and Bar
Loanfern, BallachulishThe menu seemed very impressive, when my Husband wanted the sea bass...was told he couldn't have it as it was a starter! I always thought the customer had a choice, obviously not this place!!

Ballachulish Visitor Centre , The Quarry Centre
Loanfern, BallachulishSMART ALTERNATIVE TO GLENCOE VISITOR CENTRE
We didn't use the Visitor Centre's services, but the adjoining Café is a real treat, and much less touristy than Glencoe Visitor Centre ;-)
The place is nice and really characteristic, with a shopping area full of interesting items (not the usual ‘tourist stuff’). It is also spacious, and just a few kilometres from the legendary Glencoe.
We ate: Carrots and Ginger Soup, and Toasted Flat Bread... delicious and super filling! :-D
We will definitely be back.

Quarrier's Kitchen Fish and Chips
53 Loanfern, BallachulishWhile staying in Ballchulish we were happy to pick up take out twice and sit in and eat twice our dinners after long days of sightseeing. Battered fish and chips were delicious with a large serving of chips. The pizzas are made with homemade dough and were perfect. Thank you for your friendly service.

Loch Leven Hotel
Old Ferry Rd, North Ballachulish, Fort WilliamI had a brief one night stay. I was on a business trip rather than on vacation.
I have given it 5 stars but on a knife edge for four stars.
Friendly hotel with pleasant staff and nice food. A bit dated but clean and comfortable. The above reasons are why it came close to four star but on balance was five.
My personal comment which is so specific to a business trip that I have not included it in my score is breakfast starting at 8 am is too late.
