This pub had great reviews and so glad we made a booking. Lively warm atmosphere, full of locals. Great history here, juist a gorgeous atmosphere. And we found out Edinburgh welcomes dogs too!
while i was on holiday in scotland, i wanted to do a pub quiz to see what it was all about and the barony did not disappoint!!the barony itself has a wonderful atmosphere, and it was packed for quiz night. the quiz questions were hard but not gruelling, and the staff was extremely kind and friendly. the quiz master was super funny and extremely friendly, and made the night very enjoyable. we won a bag of sweets one round so we didn’t go home empty handed.i’m so glad we decided...read full review

Comfy and warm, welcoming atmosphere and a really nice mix of beers on tap.Food was a bit more of a mixed bag - Burger was really nice (succulent with a lovely sauce), but Fish&Chips was a bit disappointing (too much batter for too little fish). Definitely worth a session!
