We were a table of 12 - difficult to make this setting a sociable experience as it was a long table - round would have been preferable. The food was good. We ordered a variety of dishes from seafood, meat and veggie - all equally as good and tasty. Average prices for the centre of town. We were celebrating a 70th and the staff kindly allowed us to decorate the table. The alcohol is extremely overpriced - the drinks cost more than the food . I have lived in Edinburgh all my life and had never visited Browns before so decided to bring my Mum here for Mothers Day and wasn’t disappointed.The restaurant is bright and airy and beautifully decorated inside. All the staff were very friendly and chatty.We both decided on a roast. I had the chicken whilst my Mum had the beef and both were really generous portions and really tasty and well cooked. We came into browns for a birthday celebration after recommendation, the food was sublime with a great atmosphere and our host ennet was absolutely lovely incredible customer service and very attentive.As for the food one of the best vegetarian dishes I've had in Newtown side of Edinburgh, not to mention the source cocktail.We will be definitely be coming back.
