Nice bar , attentive bar staff and great choice of whiskey.Beer garden with canvas roof and surrounded with walls to keep the wind away, also have heaters for the chilly nights.Good choice of background music.

A nice cosy spot for some drinks and food. The food is good, though pricey for what it is, though standard for Edinburgh these days. The highlight for me was the halloumi fries. Often when I eat halloumi fries they squeak against my teeth which I hate, but these were soft and really well seasoned. As an IPA fan I was a bit disappointed that they only had Gladeye, but it did hit the spot. Service was friendly if a bit slow. Good for a pub meal after the cinema or a catch up with friends. We didn’t realise that all the food would arrive at once so we didn’t request for our small sharing plates to arrive before the main courses. It would have been useful if the server had told us this. However, even though everything arrived together, it was a minor annoyance as it was all delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient, despite the place being busy.
