Station Rd, Drumlithie, StonehavenWe recently stopped by the Drumlithie Inn and had such a warm and memorable experience. David was incredibly personable and welcoming, instantly making me feel right at home. The cozy touch of having a dog behind the bar just added to the charm!
The chicken pie special was a highlight for me—it took me right back to family meals at my grandma’s, which was such a nostalgic treat. If you’re in the area and craving a comforting, "homestyle" meal, this is the place to go. It’s just a quick stop off the A90, with a clean and updated interior that feels inviting and fresh.

Annoyingly, there are always flies at the inside dining tables and nothing in control to minimise the persistance of them. Not surprising, given that it's at a harbour, however, very off-putting. ?

Gourdon Chinese Takeaway, Brae Rd, Gourdon, MontroseBy far THE most freshest Chinese food I've ever had - most Chinese eateries coat their dishes with tons of MSG, sugar, and food colourings, not to mention meat that's hardly recognisable or fresh. The individual ingredients actually taste like they should, and are super fresh. I'm beyond impressed! I've had the same dishes each time - and without fail, they remain consistent. I highly recommend these guys, the owner is so friendly, she genuinely cares and no matter how fussy I am (can't have certain ingredients) she's kind and sincere abouut it, and goes the extra mile every time. Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff who we dont get to see or thank, YOU ALL doing a styling job - keep it up!!

Room temperature was comfortable, no IT issues, events staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s the little extra touches that really make this place stand out. Timings were perfect and the lunch was delicious!
