'A Slice Neapolitan Pizzeria

Just had a meal at Pepe’s in Ayr and it hit the spot! I went for the chicken and rice box with a side of peri-salted fries and a drink. The chicken was juicy, tender, and well-marinated with a nice bit of spice that didn’t overpower the flavour. The rice was hot, fluffy, and soaked up the sauce perfectly.
The peri-salted fries were crispy with just the right amount of seasoning – addictive stuff. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was served hot and fresh.
Service was friendly, the place was clean, and my order came out quickly even though they were busy. Overall, really tasty food at a fair price – I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Ayr.

Spice Route Indian Restaurant
38 Kilmarnock Rd, Symington, KilmarnockI have always driven past but never stopped, until yesterday evening on a long drive from the Isles back to Castle Douglas.
We were 3 adults and 2 kids. We arrived about 20:30 and although it was empty we were able to enjoy a great meal.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our kids don’t like spice but they made them the food they like.
For the adults, we also had varied needs.
Portions were adjusted to meet those needs and the food was really good.
Lovely poppadoms and spiced onions. Lovely pakoras and the curries were varied and tasty.
I can only recommend this place and hope to return the next time I am passing.
Only tip I would give to the owner would be better signposting. For guests it is best to enter the address as the way off the A/M77 isn’t so obvious.

What a pleasant place to eat and the choice on the menu was great. Our orders were taken quickly though there was a wee wait for our meals to be served up. This was more than compensated by the quality and presentation of our food. Also in the places favour was that it was dog friendly, so we did not have to leave our four legged friend in the car! Will we be back ? Yes ? PS make sure you are hungry as the portions are large.

Given the price point, we expected standard pub fare, but the food exceeded our expectations. I had the chef’s special chicken with vegetables, the chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all, which is impressive considering how quickly it was served. Kudos to the kitchen for managing that so well. My partner chose the slow-cooked steak, and after trying a bite, I can confirm it was incredibly tender.
For starters, mains, drinks, and coffees, the total was under £55 excellent value for the quality. Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely return.

5 Bonnyton Rd, KilmarnockI am so glad we decided to try the Bonnyton Cafe. We have tried quite a few different chippies all over Ayrshire but this one is definitely THE BEST! The fish was fresh, the batter was lovely and crisp, not one bone was found when eating the fish and the chips were delicious! My daughter gave 10/10 for her cheese pizza. The chicken nuggets also got a thumbs up and I have never seen my son eat his fish so fast! Again massive thumbs up! We will 100% be back! Thank you!

But recently that parking bit has been full with the winter wonderland event at Dean Castle. Other than that, the place is great, I highly recommend, and also its good to go to since The Plaice To Be is shut, maybe forever. Some people were saying the Plaice to be was coming back, but it hasn't, so maybe that was somewhere else, but it said Kilmarnock, and there only is one in Kilmarnock I think.Parking: Not bad, you can park outside the shop and in a little concrete parking area as I mentioned in my review. The bit behind the shop however is reserved for employees only. Not sure if that is the case for delivery drivers.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome and I don't see how they wouldn't be, so bring your kids if you like and they will have a great time watching all the staff make their food.

I drink Becks Blue as I find it the most suitable for multiple drinks. After paying as much as £7 for a pint, we discovered Wetherspoons and real value for money. My pint costing less than a standard pint in other venues.\nAt 10pm we fancied one plate of chips and we were brought a large plate without fuss. It was fresh hot and crispy delicious. \nSo worth supporting this Chain as it constantly gives value and \nwholesome food with pleasant and helpful staff

So fresh, absolutely delicious, portions sizes were spot on and prices were great. Main meals prices included rice or naan bread. Lamb was melt in the mouth and the chicken tikka was to die for. As for the the sauce ask for 3 each as one little sash only covers 1 sausage the girl pointed out your only allowed 1 but I will give you two.. oh please don't go above and beyond for your customers. Struther Farmhouse, 17 Newmill Rd, Dunlop, KilmarnockMy family and I visit regularly and have never been disappointed with the food here, my kids especially enjoy the puddings and custard and are made to feel very welcome by Ruth and her team. The old house and gardens are a lovely setting and my kids enjoy exploring at Easter and Halloween events. I love to buy some fresh fruit and veg or beautiful homemade jam from the shop. Would highly recommend a visit ?

Kilmarnock Rd, Crosshouse, KilmarnockMy partner and I stopped in last night for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Given the price point, we expected standard pub fare, but the food exceeded our expectations. I had the chef’s special chicken with vegetables, the chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all, which is impressive considering how quickly it was served. Kudos to the kitchen for managing that so well. My partner chose the slow-cooked steak, and after trying a bite, I can confirm it was incredibly tender.
For starters, mains, drinks, and coffees, the total was under £55 excellent value for the quality. Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely return.

Spice Route Indian Restaurant
38 Kilmarnock Rd, Symington, KilmarnockI have always driven past but never stopped, until yesterday evening on a long drive from the Isles back to Castle Douglas.
We were 3 adults and 2 kids. We arrived about 20:30 and although it was empty we were able to enjoy a great meal.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our kids don’t like spice but they made them the food they like.
For the adults, we also had varied needs.
Portions were adjusted to meet those needs and the food was really good.
Lovely poppadoms and spiced onions. Lovely pakoras and the curries were varied and tasty.
I can only recommend this place and hope to return the next time I am passing.
Only tip I would give to the owner would be better signposting. For guests it is best to enter the address as the way off the A/M77 isn’t so obvious.

Chilli Chilli Takeaway
4 Irvine Rd, Crosshouse, KilmarnockCome here often, first time trying one of the curries though. Genuinely the best Indian curry I've ever had. Brilliant, massive naan too. Ridiculously cheap for the quality. Other items I've had in the past like the hoagies, the pakora, the pizza were all great too, but the curry was on another level.

2-6 Wellington St, KilmarnockJust had my first takeaway from here in ages & was impressed, we had the spring rolls, a portion of curry sauce, honey chilli king prawn & chicken fried rice ( hundreds of chicken) the sauce in the king prawn was really nippy but plenty of flavour & the spring rolls were average, I'd definitely buy from here again.

The salt and chilli chips were crispy but only covered in red salt, far too spicy, wouldn't order them again, but everything else was very nice!

Would like to add that a couple times iv phoned to ask for slight changes to the order the staff have been friendly and accommodating and drivers are friendly. Can't speak highly enough of this place. Should be open more often and if it was in the town centre it would be the best place in the town.
