2 Shore St, Applecross, StrathcarronWe were driving up the mountains. The weather was unkind to us. It was raining and the wind was blowing on us. Then Applecross Inn restaurant came to our rescue. Thank God my daughter made the reservation especially during the weekend. Most of the hotels are fully booked. They served good food which was well prepared. I loved the mini lobster which they called the King Prawns. Ambience in the restaurant was good. Food was sumptuous. We ordered 3 different kinds of dishes and shared among us. If you’re are at Apple Cross Road, do pay this restaurant a visit. You won’t regret it. ?

Applecross Campsite
ApplecrossApplecross campsite is situated at the end or start of the NC500 depending whether you start anticlockwise or clockwise. It is also a start or end of Balach n ba ( a road that has awesome views but in my opinion also scary).
The campsite caters for tents, camping pods, mororhomes and static caravans and is settled in a lovely village. The pub and locals are very welcoming. The owners of the campsite we welcoming and helped us . We also met to stag on our journey back to the campsite one night.
