The Ship Inn at Drummore
5 Shore St, Drummore, StranraerVisited by chance on holiday in the area and it happened to be a Shanty Night! It was great fun and really enjoyed it. Portion sizes were huge and just personal preference would have preferred some healthier options - food was delicious and served efficiently and cooked perfectly. The beer brewed specially for them was really nice and our little dog was also given a warm welcome.

Overall, we felt very confident in their ability to cater for us and the food was just as great.This was topped off by lovely views of the loch.Dietary restrictions: We had a coeliac in the party and the staff were very good explaining their cooking process, how they avoid cross contamination and their other safety measures.In addition to this, they had a good range of vegetarian and vegan options providing a good experience for all.

Nice home baking smell of freshly cooked food
The staff are all very friendly and a lady across from me had her dog ing with her.
Would highly recommend this cafe to anyone also do take awake coffee etc.

Henrys Bay House Restaurant
Cairnryan Rd, StranraerHenrys is becoming our regular place for Sunday lunch. Lovely view's over the bay. The pod's are a little different if there's a few of you as you feel like it's just you in the restaurant.. we had soup which was very nice. Roast beef is exceptional just melts in your mouth with veggies and yorkshire pudding.. chicken sizzler which my partner says is brilliant.. pudding is their cheesecake which has been different flavour every time it's absolutely to die for ..
Staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

9-15 N Strand St, StranraerWe recently had our wedding reception at fitba Bar 4/7/25. And we had the best night of our lives! Myself and my husband cannot commend the staff and Colin enough, their catering was fantastic and we were well looked after all night. All guest had a 3 course meal and at night the famous Colin buffet everything was excellent quality. All our guests loved it and said it was among the best weddings they have been to, some of whom travelled from Glasgow and Ireland to attend. Thanks again Colin and staff xxx

4-6 Bridge St, StranraerDidn't eat just had one drink as recently moved to a village near and tbh was lovely. A typical old fashioned local with locals sat around chatting and nice drinks. Had a lovely chat with a guy in there. Also the female toilets are just the best. Waiting area with full size mirror and really nice decor. Gunna bring my partner in next.

41 Hanover St, StranraerWe were spending the night in Stranraer before our ferry. We picked here as the menu had something for everyone.
We had 3 pizzas and a portion of chips. All lovely and good value. Would happily recommend and cone again if in the area.

12 Hanover Square, StranraerWhat a great find when we came camping to Stranraer. Lovely friendly pub and dog friendly too. The food was AMAZING, I honestly think it’s the best burger I’ve had, I added cheese and haggis and it was exceptional. My husband had the bruschetta starter then the Mac cheese which was also brilliant. We’ll be back ???

The Coffee Bean @Cafe Pizzeria
2-6 George St, StranraerWe visited the coffee bean for breakfast this morning and I’m pleased to report that it was delicious. The service from our waitress (Megan) was second to none, she was so polite and friendly and made us feel so very welcome. The Scottish breakfast was amazing and the coffee was fantastic too.

17 Sheuchan St, StranraerAs a group we attended the swan for a west life tribute act.we had food that was beautiful and the show was a 10/10! I would like to mention the fantastic staff the girls did not stop all day long and with a smile on their faces the service they provided was absolutely fantastic tables constantly cleaned free of food and drinks what a brilliant bunch of staff.

62-64 Charlotte St, StranraerDnisi does really good coffee, so I popped in yesterday to ask if they roasted their own beans and if they sold a small bag that I could try at home. The barista was really helpful and the owner came over to talk to me about what I was looking for and offered to give me a sample of coffee beans to try. These have been delicious so I’m going to go back today to buy the 1kg bag. Really helpful and friendly staff, very kind of them and will definitely be buying their coffee beans from now on!

8 Queen St, StranraerStood in queue for 40 minutes waiting patiently. At least 10 customer's some before some after us got served and then 3 Turkish guy's came in went to front of queue and got served within 10 minutes. Not good when you have stood patiently. Won't be standing again

London Rd, StranraerWe visited Morrison’s Café twice during our holidays in Stranraer, and both times were exceptional! The vegan and vegetarian breakfasts were absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. The coffee was excellent too – a perfect start to the day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.
