Thomas Tosh
19 E Morton St, ThornhillA really nice wee place with a good lunch menu and plenty of seating in the same space as a gallery/shop. The waiter made me affogato off menu, which always scores brownie points. The asparagus and lemon tart was nice but a bit burnt and approximately the temperature of the sun, which it would have been good to get a warning about ? Side salad was imaginative, not just baby leaves.
Be prepared to spend more than you expected because the shop side is full of lovely, tempting things.

Marchbank Bakers
56 Drumlanrig St, ThornhillRecently ordered one of the new 6inch cakes from the website for a family birthday. Marchbanks didnt disappoint! The sponge was so soft and tasty, jam spot on and tart to cut through all the sweetness of the butter cream. Only one thing i could find wrong was the outside buttercream. It was slightly too thick for me but that is personal preference. I will be purchasing again and again. Fastastic addition Marchbanks!!!!
