This hidden gem is well worth a visit. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The gelato was delicious and very affordable. The heritage of 110+ years is evident and fabulous. ?

Spent the afternoon at The Kings Arms Hotel, Lockerbie Wellbeing day - WHAT CAN I SAY....... First a HUGH thank you to the lovely Cheryl who worked so hard before and during the wellbeing afternoon for us therapists, card readers, crystal stall holder & sound healer. Your just ace! x To all the ladies giving sessions today at greatly reduced prices - you're all awesome and I really hope to meet you all again at some point. It was really fun getting to know you. x Next to the wonderful people who trusted me to hold them in a special place during a Usui Reiki session. Your kind words blew me away and my first Reiki session in Scotland - ultra special. I will never forget it. Last but not least to all the client I could not fit in - I'm sorry but I'll be back. Started with crisp pork belly with black pudding crumb, apple puree and parma ham crisp - very palatable!
Main course, difficult choice as it all sounded marvellous. I decided on the tried and tested fillet steak and was not disappointed ?. An excellent quality full 8oz fillet, melt in your mouth tender and cooked rare to perfection. An odd accompaniment of chips, mac and cheese, buttery mashed potato and onion rings? but the combo worked very well. I'm a 'big lad' and fond of large portions but would suggest either the mac and cheese, or the mash would have been sufficient (or even have the mac and cheese and mash and leave out the chips) but all options would be equally delicious.
My compliments to the ?‍? ?.
Although bulging at the seams it seemed a shame not to finish off with a delightful strawberry Eton mess for dessert ?.
Overall a fantastic meal at a fair price in a relaxing setting.
Bon appetite- you will not be disappointed.
