Beaumaris Rd, NewportLovely place especially when attending HAU polo social. Great staff with a speedy service. Lost my necklace there and despite not finding it the staff were happy to help look for it. Would recommend going here indoor seating and nice outdoor seating.

1 Newport Rd, Edgmond, NewportI found this little treasure amidst consistent drizzle. It was a good find though. Staff is very cooperative and friendly. Food is excellent in taste and value for money. They’ve outdoor seating as well for a sunny day. I think it’s the only place to enjoy quality food inside Edgmond village.

3 High St, NewportSent my husband into this cafe to wait whilst I had a bit of retail therapy in Newport. This was a good move as he was more than happy with his bacon bap and coffee which meant that I could shop unhindered! In fact he was so comfortable sitting there that when I arrived back he treated us both to the Brocolli and Blue Cheese soup with a roll and a drink, it was yummy and piping hot! The cafe was tastefully decorated with interesting archaeological local finds displayed in cabinets. It was WARM in there, which is very important to me,and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, each customer was greeted and made to feel valued. It seems a lot of local people use it frequently which says it all. They operate a loyalty card system for hot drinks too. Nice clean toilet. The menu was quite different to other places, very tasty, everything looked delicious. But most of all, such a friendly and happy staff and nothing seemed too much trouble, we shall be back!

2 The Square, NewportOur first visit here, and I can see us returning. We went in at lunchtime and ordered two club sandwiches, which were both filling and tasty.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a powered chair and was unsure whether I could access the restaurant. The door was plenty wide enough, and a chair was removed from our table, enabling me to stay seated in my chair.

28 High St, NewportWent here with my 6 year old daughter today and she unfortunately had a coughing fit whilst we were inside, one of the staff members was amazing and gave her a bottle of water to help. We have savory food which was delicious, the cakes looked AMAZING! Will definitely be back and thank you for helping my daughter!

68 Upper Bar, NewportBooked the new function room ‘The Doghouse’ for a birthday party. The room has recently been refurbished to a high standard and is perfect for smaller parties. The staff were extremely friendly and went over and above to help us. The lady with purple hair (sorry, I’m terrible with names) helped me source a helium tank as I had left mine at home!!!!Fab venue, fab atmosphere, fab staff, will def be back for a drink and will def book ‘The Doghouse’ in the future!

Chetwynd End, NewportAttended recently for an after funeral wake for the first time in 20 years. Lovely friendly staff and even the pub dog (That don't normally like me) left me alone so that was good! Very reasonably priced drinks, the HPA was lovely and clean and crisp from the draught, the wake went very smoothly and we were very well accomodated. Some outdated furniture and could do with a spruce up, some of that decor was there 20 years ago!

All my friends eat the Raja's Special kebab. They say they would not eat anywhere else ?Vegetarian options: Good selection of toppings for the pizzas

We will be sending any other Aussies we know in the area to get a taste of home.I remember clearly we used to spend around £90 for a family of 4 and 2 pints each. This time we have a family of 6 and only £77.

19 High St, NewportI only tend to go for a breakfast, brunch, or a coffee, which I think is very nice. My favourite is the full English, my partner being a veggie has different options which she always enjoys.A good reason for us to go is that they are dog friendly. There always seems to be a few in there. If you're not a dog fan, there is seating upstairs, I've not seen anyone taking dogs up there.The atmosphere is always pleasant and friendly, they also have a loyalty scheme, which gives good discounts, recommend it ?

On first visit we noticed the decor was seriously needing spruced up and were worried we'd chosen the wrong place . The waitress was not very talkative or fluent in English but didn't at all come across rude, Just not very engaging. Our food arrived and we headed back to our temporary digs as we are working away from home at the moment. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our food, I gave 4 stars as It wasn't the best I've tried but the food itself was tasty.

Really hot, and the McSpicy "RedHot" was perfect, albeit with a dose of watery eyes! Food was prepared quite quickly. And some vegan options too.Parking: Obviously a large parking space due to it being on a industrial estate.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible for wheelchairs, ramp leading up to store.
