Large group of us today for lunch. There was a good atmosphere despite the room being very cold. The food was well presented and tasty with generous sized portions, but it was only lukewarm which was a shame. I don't think anyone had a hot meal. The staff were very pleasant but seemed to be struggling with the numbers of diners.
Stopped at the Three old the pigeons after visiting the local caves and had a lovely meal. Dog friendly, cosy pub. Bartender was lovely and attentive.Nearby activities: Caves are a lovely walk, we spent about 1hr45 for the circular route from the nearby car park. Quite steep stairs access and it was pretty muddy due to logging and forestry activities, but a beautiful forest and woodland walk. Absolutely gorgeous food. Staff were lovely and welcoming. I had the homemade chicken Alfredo pasta and it was the best I’ve ever had. My mum had the festive pie and she loved it too. Will definitely be coming back.
