Everything about our lunch here was first class, staff/service & quality of food n' drink were all excellent- highly recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting. 10/10

Joli spanish coffee shop

Crepes were particularly good, and generous portion sizes. Nice friendly staff, though till service was a little slow on the day we visited because they were so very busy! Testament to the quality of the food.

Bulls Head

Lovely welcoming pub on our visit to Whitchurch. Friendly ladies served us and even advised where to go the next day to watch The Lions Test! Good beer in a comfortable environment. Thank you! ☺️

Wheatsheaf Hotel Whitchurch

Fabulous friendly pub, really nice owners, It was spotless everywhere. Beautiful food, great bar staff, nice lady served the hot and lovely breakfast, great quality linen on the very comfortable bed. I stayed last month and also last year. Great location too. No doubt will visit again. Thanks for the welcome

A Family get together of 10 on the 16th August, perfect service, meal and atmosphere.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff as very welcoming and not overbearing, and compliments to the chef as the meals were perfect. I actually spoke to Jack regarding the excellent service and to pass on to the Team.

Absolutely amazing experience tonight at Docket. The service was outstanding, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Talking of the food, just wow…. It was fantastic, some of the best food I have ever tasted. How lucky are we to have this fabulous restaurant on our doorstep. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team for giving us such a treat.

Gardiner's Fish & Chips

came all the way from new zealand for gary’s fish and chips and it was worth it!! fish and chips were beautiful and service was amazing, will definitely be coming back!! :)

Lockside Cafe

Not been here for a while, but it’s a lovely location and worth a visit for a great breakfast whilst watching the barges going through all the locks. It was Bank holiday Sunday & very busy but quick service and friendly staff 5* ☕️?

Wild Shropshire Restaurant

The food and drinks were exquisite - I'm still thinking about some of the flavours and sensations a week later. I enjoyed the blind tasting menu concept and had fun trying to guess the components of each course. I love the stories and ethical commitments behind James's work, and appreciated that he came to each table to answer questions.

The surroundings were restful, which is even more impressive when you consider it was a hot July evening when we visited, and we were facing the open kitchen, where everything seemed very calm. The front-of-house team were delightful: welcoming, knowledgeable and clearly happy in their work.

I don't know many fine-dining restaurants where you'd feel relaxed enough to tip a bowl up to your mouth, or run your finger around a dish. I'm not saying I definitely did this, but I might have done this, because everything was delicious.

Vegetarian options: I liked that my vegetarian menu diverged only where essential from my (meat-eating) husband's menu, so it remained a shared experience.

Cafe ELEVEN

Absolutely loved our lunch here. Proper home-cooked food (we had the chilli con carne and spaghetti bolognese) that actually tastes homemade — generous portions, fresh ingredients, and a really comforting feel to it all. The cafe itself is light, airy, and spacious, which made it perfect for us with the pushchair. No awkward squeezing between tables or feeling like we were in the way.

The staff were genuinely lovely — polite, friendly, and really attentive without hovering. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets the balance so right.

Highly recommended and well worth the trip. We’ll definitely be back.

Old Eagles

Thank you so much today for looking after our family as we stayed to watch The Lions Test in a welcoming and very friendly little pub!
We checked the day before to see if the match would be on and they confirmed it would! We were there just before 11am through to 1pm. The locals welcomed us too. When we’re up this way again on our holidays we’ll be calling in again for a welcome pint of Wainwrights! Thank you! ☺️

Had the best breakfast we've had anywhere and at a very reasonable price. Lovely friendly staff , made us and our dog very welcome. Well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

The White Bear

Came to Whitchurch as the halfway point to meet with friends, and chose the White Bear based on the menu having one of the broadest choice of vegetarian / vegan dishes I've seen. Good call - all the dishes were imaginative and tasty, and the service was great as well. Dog-friendly too. Thankyou!

Fiona's Coffee Shop

We travel over to Bloodstock heavy metal festival from Ireland every year, and this coffee shop has become part of the road trip. Lovely people, lovely food, great prices, year on year.

Popped in today to have some lunch with partner and baby, well designed with enough room for pram as well, service was top notch food priced about expected, only real complaint would be to many herbs on panini, a little would be fine but the amount on would've completely overpowered a great panini, so I wiped most off and that worked fine but that is me being picky as everything else was greatKid-friendliness: Enough room comfortable for a single baby pram with rook by tables for baby to be

Lovely location teamed with friendly helpful staff and excellent food. They also cater for non gluten containing meals. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable experience and our dog was made welcome too. Thank you to everyone.

Fantastic sandwiches and toasties, lovely friendly staff and a great deli with delicious cakes.
I would highly recommend.
Really busy , but speedy service, with local people ( always a good sign!)

Alderford Kitchen

First time here yesterday, having to home school the step-son, what better way than getting out in the open and doing some swimming in a lake and a bit of football. Water was relatively warm, cheaper to swim here than Nantwich outdoor pool during the week. Will defo come again and try all activities.

Got a manchester tart and a mini pork pie here, both lovely, though I recommend eating the manchester tarts fast as I let mine warm up too much and it fell apart in my hands when I tried to eat it!! Clearly fresh which is great. Tasted good too. Will get another

Borders Restaurant at Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel & Spa

Visited last Sunday for a meal, served by a great waitress, Libby, who attended our table promptly and made our party feel most welcome, great staff throughout, will certainly visit again.

Drove into Whitchurch never been b4 had a little walk around looking for somewhere for lunch when we came across this little gem had a fantastic lunch warm welcome off the young lady behind the bar.

New Golden Chef

Ordered from here when staying at a local touring park. Collected the food and it was amazing. Would highly recommend. Crispy Shredded Chicken in Chilli Sauce is one of the best I've tasted. Will 100% be returning.

Swallow

Had such a great meal here! The chicken curry was rich and full of flavor, and the salt and pepper king prawns were honestly the highlight for me perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Everything was fresh, hot, and way better than your average buffet. Ken and the Team were friendly, and the whole place felt clean and welcoming. Left feeling full and happy. We’ll definitely be back!

4 stars for excellent tasty pizzas, 1 star for £5 delivery charge, zero stars for card payment to food hub.com last 2 times i was overcharged, they seem to add extra on the card to the correct amount. Will only use them again if i can pay cash on delivery.

Snapper Fish & Chips

Called in just a minute or two after they would have closed… it could have been disastrous but the owners turned the fryers back on for our order. Just a few minutes and we had some wonderful tasty fresh chips. 10/10 on customer service 10/10 on the chips as well. This place needs visits more often! Very impressed at the cleanliness inside the chippy and there is free parking outside what more could you want.
