Whortleberry Tearoom
High St, Porlock, MineheadSadly I didnt take any photos. This is a truly delightful 'old fashion' tearoom. Proper China cups and tea pot with loose leaf tea a pleasant welcome and tablecloths. Nothing old fashioned about the cake though. I had the best salted caramel I have ever had and my wife exclaimed the carrot cake as amazing. All cakes are homemade and I am astounded at the light fluffy texture and amazing quality. Please stop in here if youre in Porlock. They are also dog friendly

Exfordbridge tea rooms
Chapel St, ExfordWhat a wonderful cafe/tea room this is! We were staying in Exford overnight and decided to try this place for breakfast. It did not disappoint and the lot wood burner was as welcoming as the owner.
The coffee was strong and tasty and the traditional breakfast was perfectly cooked with quality sausage and bacon and a perfect fried egg. It was a wonderful surprise to find it open on a frosty January morning and we will be back. The owner is friendly, laid-back and happy for a chat.
What a great find in the lovely village of Exford.
