The Crown Inn
The Batch, WinscombeCute quaint pub offering a small menu for food including sandwiches, jacket potatoes and ploughmans. The advantage of the small menu means food is served rapidly. It’s high google rating means the place gets packed. We arrived at 11:50 on a Sunday and there was a queue of 10 people waiting for the opening already. We managed to grab a table and have a great time but it definitely gets busy. Portions look small on the photos but trust me they fill you up! My jacket potato with vegetable chilli was hearty and filling.

Nelson Arms Churchill
Skinners Ln, Churchill, WinscombeA little hidden gem. A good old traditional pub that does a basic but by far the best tasting, well cooked carvery. Make sure you get a tray if you like a lot of gravy! Everything was outstanding. All well priced with plenty of parking and not a single cold veg in sight. I tried the beef it was perfectly cooked browned crispy edges on the outside and pink inside, seasoned well and not full of fat! So definitely a 10/10 for me as puts any mainstream carvery to shame.

Always busy on Fridays which is when we usually order. Staff always happy and helpful and food always good.

Woodborough Inn
2 Sandford Rd, WinscombeI booked this beautiful gem ? for our wedding day reception venue. I booked a room for the night before the wedding, all traditional. I got the family room with the amazing bathtub, super giant bed the room was exquisite. Immaculate beautiful bed great sleep just stunning. Woke up in the morning to a very delicious breakfast indeed. The staff were amazing actually outstanding. They are a very pleasant team to work with and be around. The chefs who provided the buffet were exceptional quality. The hire of reception area was adequately spaced and excelled my expectations. Overall the venue and staff and quality is really what makes this place truly exceptional and special. Highly recommend. I can not thank them enough for such a beautiful day. Highly commendable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The Pantry
32 Woodborough Rd, WinscombeJust had a lovely breakfast here. Hot, delicious vanilla latte with a tasty gluten free bacon sandwich. Both perfect. Husband had a bacon and egg sandwich on soft, fluffy granary bread with a cappuccino, also delicious. Very friendly staff. Pleasant background music, not too loud. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

The Railway Inn
Station Rd, Sandford, WinscombeSuch a lovely pub, next to the Thatchers distillery, busy place, lots of cyclists visit, lots of outside space, didn't feel too crowded, we booked for dinner, food was fabulous, service was great, we sat in the conservatory for food, such pretty surroundings, enjoyed it very much.

Lyncombe Drive, WinscombeLove the ski lodge look. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Menu reduced which is a bit of a shame but loaded fries were yummy and kids loved their meals.

Premier Inn Bristol Sidcot (A38) hotel
Bridgewater Road, Bristol, WinscombeWe did not stay at the Premier Inn we only ate ate the reasturant. The restaurant was lovely with good access and straight forward food with good size portions. the staff were very friendly and helpful, we have booked to come back.

Winscombe Kebab & Pizza House
7 Woodborough Rd, WinscombeGreat takeaway! They offer a range of pizzas including make your own where you select the toppings, burgers, kebabs and a range of sides and drinks. Please note they only accept cash for payment! I have ordered to collect and also ordered for delivery. Collection is usually within 20-25 minutes and delivery in 40!

Sidcot Arms Brewers Fayre
Bridgwater Rd, WinscombeFantastic made to order all you can eat full English breakfast. Value for money too and this includes dining there in the evening. Amongst friendly welcoming staff, Lizzie behind the bar taking your food order and serving your drinks. Shelly front of house one night and then chef the next. These are only some of the amazing staff I had contact with. Could not fault anyone. Yes the building is tired but has its charm being so old too. Having a remodel would be nice for the place but as a customer having the food at such affordable price wins !
