Also have a weekly jam night and other events (quizzes, live music etc) Wheelchair accessible via ramp at the back, accessible toilet and dog friendly.

Little Gem!!! My husband and I stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere to eat (we were staying just up the road and wanted somewhere a little more cosy. This place came up so we have it a go and we were not disappointed! It is small but so quaint and cosy, the fireplace was going so it was lovely and warm. Mu husband ordered the butter chicken from the specials and I had the burger...WOW! The food was incredible, full of flavour and so tender I almost licked the bowl of curry clean! ?\nIf you are in the area this place is a must. The Sunday roast was a solid effort overall. The pork was cooked well, and the Yorkshire puds were properly crisp and fluffy. Roast potatoes were decent, though could’ve been crispier (just personal preference), and the veg was fine.

At £25, it feels a bit on the pricey side, but they do try to use Suffolk produce and keep things seasonal, which is appreciated. The portion was generous and the atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for a Sunday. There is a bit of a wait with the carvery, but it is to be expected when full.

Great pub. Really loved this place. We popped in before a walk and the food was amazing, and great value. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the beer was spot on. (Especially the pint of Blue Moon.) To be honest, I was tempted to ditch the walk and stay in the pub all afternoon!

This cafe had been highly recommend to me by my guvnor, so decided to pop in on my way home from holiday, lady behind the counter was very pleasant and took my order, I'll be honest I way rather shocked that for 4 of us the bill came out at a shade under 60 quid.
Drinks came out in a timely fashion, but sadly food took longer and my coffee had been drunk.
The breakfast was of a good quality as was the burgers.
All in all, very nice, but perhaps the place to feed a family

We had a voucher for this pub/restaurant and without it we would have turned around. The outside seriously let's it down. Shabby with dead hanging baskets!! But as soon as we walked inside, we were relieved! Nice cosy atmosphere, excellent service and lovely food although fairly expensive. For the price I would expect a good looking pub! There's a lot of competition out there, so it's a shame they don't pay more attention to the exterior!

Wow, yet another top class Sunday lunch at our favourite restaurant today, celebrating my son's belated birthday, along with one of my grandsons.\nMy partner and I shared the King Prawn starter [11.50], followed by 2 x Roast Beef [52.00]. The serving of Beef was very generous, delicious and cooked to pink perfection! My son and grandson both thoroughly enjoyed their favourite Roast Pork x 2 [48.00]. Finished with 3 Affogato [15.00] and 1 scoop vanilla ice cream [2.00]. \n3 cokes [8.50], 1 G & T [9.50], 2 x 175m Chablis [27.00], 1 x 175m Montepulciano [8.00], 2 x Ghostship [9.00]. Total [190.50] + tip.\nThe service was excellent, as ever, always with a warm greeting at the door by the delightful Restaurant Manageress. The main dining areas quickly filled up to capacity, and more diners seated in the extended dining area adjacent. \nStrongly urge you to give The Riverside a try and pre-booking strongly recommended, particularly Sunday lunch!

Hands down the best bass I’ve ever had! So fresh and expertly cooked in a little garlic butter and simply served with delicious new potatoes. My partner equally loved his cod in parsley sauce and the whitebait and potted crab we shared to start were both divine! Washed down with a stunning Chablis. What a great place!!

Fabulous lunchtime cruise. Very informative re history and of the ness and the wildlife. Considering the size of the galley the Food was excellent..We were a party of nine pre booked and food prepaid. When we paid our drinks bill on board we were surprised to be given. 10% service charge on everything including the prepaid food. Nothing about this on the leaflet..
great day out but be aware of any service charge y op might be asked to pay.

Excellent local pub that just oozes character and atmosphere. They serve a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the menu & specials are wide ranging and reasonably priced as well. This is definitely the best pub in the area and is very popular with locals so there may be queue at times but it's worth the wait. If you're staying in the area, The Meat Shed, Pump St. Bakery and the village shop over the road are all well worth a visit as well.

My daughter held her wedding reception here on Saturday and I have to congratulate all the staff on their kindness, efficiency and attention to detail! The afternoon and evening ran like clockwork, from the welcome drinks to the canapes to the hot buffet, the food was excellent. They accommodated the band and made sure they were fed at half time! All in all the evening was a night to remember. Thank you Captains Table!

This is a beautiful old pub which packs a punch with its atmosphere. My partner and I are vegetarian and we had plenty of options to choose from. The food was delicious and very well priced and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this establishment.
