I was blown away with how good the food was.
It's such a shame on the lady that served us. Very miserable and not friendly or polite. The other lady that brought our food was lovely.
I was going to knock a star off but because the food was that great. I didn't want to do that.
We will be back for the food. And hopefully better service tomorrow. That's how much I enjoyed the food!

45 High St, BansteadAte here for (adult) family gathering on a weeknight, and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was lovely - well-cooked, tasty and well-presented without being pretentious. We had sharing platters followed by mains of veal, chicken, salmon & liver; all the meat was tender and perfectly cooked, and accompaniments were were tasty. Portions were generous but not excessive. Desserts were also very good. The service was efficient, and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again.

149 High St, BansteadExcellent service and delicious food. We first visited COOK in Banstead last summer and bought a few meals to try. All of them were great, and the service in store was brilliant. This time, we used the click and collect service. It was hassle free and very convenient. My order was ready to collect and staff were friendly and helpful. We bought some of the same meals and some different ones to try. We have the meals in the freezer to use if it's been a busy day and you just want something easy to cook. I would highly recommended COOK.

11 Nork Way, BansteadFantastic fish and chips!!! We’ve been here a number of times and the food is really really so much better than the previous owners. New owners took over about 8 months ago and the fish and chips are definitely the best in this area. Fish portion sizes are great and the chips are absolutely delicious.

89 High St, BansteadAbsolutely amazing cakes and buns. I come in for coffee at lunchtime and have recently started using the ‘too good to go’ app. This is going to be my new favourite place to meet friends for lunch. The food is delicious ❤️

13 Nork Way, Banstead1st visit to this lovely Indian restaurant. The food was amazing. For starters, we had garlic mushrooms and vegetable samosa. For the main, I had the garlic lamb curry, and my partner had a vegetable curry and rice. Both were very tasty. The staff we very friendly but sadly the restaurant is closing on 19th May, they will still be offering takeaway and a delivery service but if you can support a local restaurant YOU MUST try this one. I will definitely be having a takeaway from them in the future. I wish them well, and good luck in the future!!

1 Rectory Ln, BansteadWe've been going to this place for a long, long time 15+ years or more. The only issues we've ever had was having to wait (but they would tell you pretty accurately 15/30/60 mins) before you even make the order. I still use the old 1st gen menu they produced, which the lady always finds funny. We usually have the same, prawns in rice, spring veg, egg fry rice, special fry rice and sweet and sour chicken. In all the years we've been going there, the issues with the food (usually rice) have been minimum and you could count on one hand.
I've had other Chinese when visiting friends and can honestly say some of those pork/chicken in batter has had more fat/grisle than meat in them.
Here, the pork/chicken balls in batter have been so clean for aslong as I can remember.
I think it's fair to say the owners have struggled with online deliveries, before companies started doing home delivery you couldn't get in this place as it was so busy. They haven't changed, so why not just go down there.

My only problem was I ordered a jacket potato with tuna sweetcorn and cheese, and as one always expects, surely the tuna and cheese should be warmed and melted. Anyway they were cold, so I asked for them to heat it up (I think they had a microwave or something) so that the cheese could melt. I had salad on the plate with the jacket potato. As I feared, they put the whole plate in the microwave, and while they brought me back a nice melty cheesy tuna potato, the salad now was very warm and I was not able to eat it.
Also worth a mention that the fruit juices taste like those ones you get from a hotel, probably from like a squash or something.
Other than that, jacket potato was nice.

The staff are always very welcoming and all the drinks or food that we've had (admittedly only for 'elevenses') has been great. Personally I love their hot chocolate! Seating is basic, but comfy, and the prices are extremely good. There is a nice clean toilet customers can use. If you need Birthday or other cards, there is a small collection of them on the stand by the counter. If you are in need of spiritual guidance or help, there is sometimes someone there who can talk you through your problems and help you. You can tell the café is popular by the number of people who visit. If you want a no frills café but with good food, this is the place to go.

133 High St, BansteadWe are from the US and went to Roast and Ground with these owners when they were in Carshalton. We came back to England for a visit and one thing definitely on our list was to go to Lavender Kitchen because we absolutely love their lasagna! It was such a joy to visit with the owners. 79 High St, BansteadPopped into Starbucks Banstead with two of my colleagues today. We work at the Royal Marsden hospital which is just a few minutes drive away. We got free NHS coffee’s for our research team providing our ID badges. We were served by the lovely Lily and Izzy, a very warm welcome, smiles on their faces and 10 very happy ( nurses, Dr’s and specimen collectors) back in the office after a quick coffee run, thank you Starbucks ?

129 High St, BansteadWe are here early tonight 23/11/25 and had a lovely meal. We live in Cornwall and so really good Chinese food is a real treat and we was certainly not disappointed one little bit, the food was tremendous. There was a couple of juvenile idiots who tried to get in but who were refused due to the fact that they had a history of not paying and generally being disrespectful even though there was children in the restaurant. They didn’t do anything to ruin the atmosphere however, they just embarrassed themselves and their people. The friendly owner handled the situation professionally and respectful.
We will definitely return whenever we are in the area. It’s absolutely well worth a visit.
