15 The St, AshteadAfter me and my 3 other friends (one of whom is 18 years of age so is legally responsible) were rejected from the awful pub down the road which is the Woodman because apparently we needed a “guardian”, (although the 18 year old is our guardian so they either have imbeciles employed there, or their imbecilic owners are forcing moronic and spontaneous rules on their employees), we took a 15 minute walk in 5 degrees down to this boozer through the park. We most definitely had our doubts because we were just rejected from the Woodman, however, upon entry, we were greeted by the most warm and welcoming staff and were sat down to eat very swiftly. Not only was the food very good, but the atmosphere was very very nice as well, most definitely not too loud but also had a very nice ambience with a toasty fireplace. Very comforting. So the night went from being rejected from the grubbiest, busiest and most awful pub ever to being accepted to this absolute gem of a boozer. Not only that, but I was allowed to drink as I was having a meal and was accompanied by an 18 year old, something that the rubbish Woodman did not let me do, even though we literally had an 18 year old, with ID!!!! Thank you brewery inn, you saved our night. And you made it great as well, God bless you all and keep being legends, because for as long as you’re legends, I’m a customer for sure.Ps. Readers, if you can’t be bothered to read all this, essentially: Go here for a drink and food, DO NOT GO TO THE WOODMAN ON BARNET WOOD LANE. It sucks and all the employees hate you as well as themselves. This place is most definitely the place to be in Ashtead. Go here, not there!

Our waitress was amazingly cheerful and efficient at dealing with the many requests and even managed to squeeze in cleaning the windows at the same time! If you want a really good Chinese, this is the place.

6 Pleasure Pit Rd, AshteadWe held my Mums wake here on Wednesday 13th December. Without exception the service, food and attention to every detail was exceptional. We were able to access though the side doors and were greeted by a professional and attentive team. They catered for 55 - we probably had 40 - delicious hot & cold buffet, individual cakes and warm scones with jam and cream and constant supply of tea coffee & juice. Exceptional ‘send off’ for my mum that the Poppy and her team played a major part of. Thank you

1 Craddocks Ave, AshteadThis is the best curry restaurant I know. The staff are so friendly and the food is always excellent. It's bring your own alcohol so don't forget to bring your own. I would definitely recommend it but better to book first for Fridays and Saturdays.

2-4 Woodfield Ln, AshteadA big thank you to Superfish for a great birthday meal for 13. The tables had been set out in a very attractive way, and were generously supplied with sauces, pickles and warm French bread, as well as prawns. The service was excellent and all the meals ordered were declared to be first class, with generous portions. A most enjoyable time and highly recommended.

Surrey, 238 Barnett Wood Ln, AshteadI have been 3 times over the last 20 months. The best thing has always been the pint of London Pride. The overworked staff are attentive and helpful. The building is rather tired but no amount of money will improve it.

It's always an incredibly smooth experience facilitated by the wonderful cashier (I believe his name is Senthil?) who is always exceptionally friendly and very expedient with any requests or help.
