We’ve just moved to the area and have been to this pub twice now. The first time the bar tender was a nice chatty guy. The second time the waiter was a young guy, not sure he meant to be rude but came across like he didn’t care.
The food is pretty basic pub food. My husband has had the pizza and burger saying they’re very good.
I am vegan, I’ve had the super green salad, it’s nice but could do with a change to seasonal veg, the asparagus was very limp and chewy. I had the vegan cheese starter which was nice.
Beers are reasonably priced.
Nice outside area.
Dog friendly inside eating and a separate restaurant.
Toilets are clean.

Excellent restaurant. Setting is very chill, ambience perfect for a classy meal out. The food was superb. Fresh, well prepared and full of flavour. Wine list includes lots of Greek wines as well as spirits. Not cheap (£45-60 per head with drinks and included service charge), but very much worth the price.

A great local pub with friendly service. As well as normal drinks and meals out we have used to celebrate a couple of occasions with a large group including lots of dogs. The team are really friendly and make sure everyone is well looked after. Food is consistently great quality and it has a good selection of drinks.

Parking: No parking at pub bit there are places nearby to park for a charge.

My partner and I ate here with my father and stepmother yesterday. The guy who served us - Jay - was great! He was super attentive and friendly and was very kind to my elderly dad who has mobility issues, opening up the back exit for him to save him having to go back down the steps.\nThe food could have been better though. The 2 salads were very basic and 98% leaves with a bit of salmon on one and a sprinkling of chicken on the other. Considering what can be added to a salad these days, it was really disappointing for the price. My pasta was nice, as was my partners carbonara. I have eaten several times in the Woking Zizzi and found the food much better there.\nThe staff are great though and it was an enjoyable get-together, just a shame the food wasn't worth the price.

My wife and I visited Tortilla in Guildford for the first time recently, and we were really impressed! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and made exactly to our liking. We both had burritos, and the ingredients were tasty, well-seasoned, and generously portioned.

What really made the experience even better was how lovely and friendly the staff were. They took the time to explain the menu, helped us choose our fillings, and made us feel completely welcome. For a first visit, it couldn’t have gone better — we felt relaxed and well looked after from the moment we walked in.

Such a lovely pub and beautiful setting with incredible food and drinks (best roast we’ve had), but it’s the service we keep coming back for. Gomshall has some of the nicest staff I’ve ever experienced - special shout out to Jill who was not only massively helpful to us (immediately noticed I was feeding my baby and put my food under the hot plate) but also to everyone else in there who needed assistance at any point! Each time we’ve been the staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate us and provided amazing service from start to finish. Definitely our new favourite pub!

My wife and I moved to the UK from California three years ago and used to eat Thai all the time there. Sadly, nearly all the Thai food that is available in the town we live in is not very good, so we rarely eat it anymore. We were very happily surprised that the food here was quite good. Both the masaman curry and pad kee mow were quite delicious, and that is coming from someone who is definitely pretty picky about Thai food. The place is also dog friendly and has a nice outdoor patio, which we really appreciated. Thanks for the great food!

The place has a very relaxed vibe but very clean (inc the restrooms!!)

Ate here with a large work group while traveling to Guildford and we were able to sit upstairs together. We preordered which I highly recommend but the staff was still very flexible as we hd a few folks that we added last minute. They did a great job getting food out across each course and everything came out hot. I ordered the filet and chips which was cooked perfectly and also had the crab and corn fritters. They were good but had very little (if any) crab meat in them... my only gripe of the night. The scotch egg was tasty and I went with my servers recommendation for the pistachio soufflé and it was excellent. Overall, our group really enjoyed the food and it was a great venue for our event.

I had the Salmon and greens breakfast/brunch and it was delicious. The salmon was fresh and plentiful as was the avocado which was also beautifully seasoned. The spinach was perfectly wilted and the two poached eggs were the best I’ve had in memory. I can’t remember what the pickle was but it complemented scrumptiously, as did the sourdough toast. I also had a green juice which was delicious and an earl grey tea which was what it was. I was part of a large group that met for brunch, we had a great time, fab atmosphere and loved that there were doggos there too ?

Five stars for Amber and the Three Pigeons crew!

We had an absolutely brilliant time at bottomless brunch at The Three Pigeons this weekend. Amber was outstanding, warm, attentive, and totally on it. Our glasses were never empty, and she somehow managed to keep everything flowing without us ever needing to ask. She made the whole experience brilliant for us.

The food was spot on too. We had the lasagne, shepherd’s pie, and grilled cheese, all freshly made by Rosie. Proper comfort food done right. Morgan also gave great service and added to the relaxed, welcoming vibe.

All in all, a fantastic afternoon and exceptional value. We’ll definitely be back and if you get Amber looking after you, you’re in for a treat. Huge thanks to the whole team!

We went to Gordos for dinner it was very authentic and had a fantastic atmosphere. The menu had lots of creative , mouth-watering ideas as well as traditional dishes. The service was very good with friendly efficient staff. But the best bit was the food. I had the terrific chimichanga and to finish I had the churros which were amazing!

A lovely cafe! Homely, but still spacious and with plenty of seating inside and out. Fantastic views of the river if you’re outside too!

I enjoyed the coffee, and the food was good too. But I did find the selection quite limited, it was primarily just sandwiches.

I was there at 11am on a Sunday, and was surprised that they didn’t seem to have a breakfast menu. And if they did, they didn’t have it on the table, or offer it to us.

Still, a nice place to sit and catch up with friends. Easy to walk from town, and with plenty of parking. £14.50 for a sandwich and a coffee.

The very best Inn we have ever stayed in! The food is absolutely top-notch. From breakfast with such choices (thoroughly recommend the cooked full english)! to the main meals. Such a variation, well priced, and exceptional. No other word can describe it . Ambience throughout was great, and the real ales were to die for. Our room was superb, as was our welcome and assistance. We met with old friends who many years ago attended our schools country annex, and what is now Peaslake House. Just amazing!! I came here tonight after a bad experience at a restaurant around the corner.

I am a woman on my own and all the staff at Rumwong made me feel so welcome and comfortable. They were so polite and friendly. The restaurant was heaving but I got seated straight away and treated so nicely.

This was my first meal alone in Guildford since my husband died nearly 8 months ago and I wish I had come straight here rather than the other restaurant.

The food was amazing and atmosphere was nice. Do have the ice cream profiteroles for dessert! I will definitely be coming back.

Very nice cosy coffee house. Good coffee but the time I went it was very slow service. Took about 15 mins to queue up, order a cappuccino and make it. If they were a bit more organised about it then it would be so much better and faster. But overall, no faults with them so highly recommend.

Booked in for a roast but they ran out of chicken. They were kind enough to let us still try some spuds and Yorkshire pudding which was LOVELY!!

Can’t wait to come back and try the chicken, I was told get here earlier to not be disappointed so I’ll do just that

The service and atmosphere were top notch - the ambience was good, our food was served fast and the servers were so attentive and proactive and most importantly, we kept getting surprise free snacks throughout our courses, like the pani puri and the chocolate at the end. The chef made it feel like a tasting menu. Money well spent!

We went for the Sunday buffet and it was fantastic! We’ve also dined here in the evenings and are always impressed, and the buffet certainly did not disappoint. All the food was piping hot and delicious, with generous portions of meat in every dish – from the chicken tikka to the lamb jalfrezi. Everything was full of flavour. I couldn’t even manage dessert because I was so satisfied! A big thank you to all the staff for the great service.

We enjoyed a nice evening there. The smoked duck starter was a highlight and the pizzas were generous with toppings.

Stopped here for a quick coffee and ended up buying some beans because it was really tasty. Lovely to sit in the sun and face out onto the castle and then have a little walk in the garden after.

Big props to the friendly guys behind the counter. Good service is a big draw to these independent cafes and they gave great vibes.

We are really lucky to have such a brilliant café just around the corner. Although this is part of a larger chain, the High Street branch in Guildford really stands out. The coffee is always spot on, the food is great, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. It’s become a favourite local spot for us — we often recommend it to patients and visitors looking for a good coffee and a bite to eat nearby.

We went in around 19:30 on Saturday evening, it seemed to be fairly busy and only a few staff around. We ordered using the machines and went to the counter to wait, despite there being several delivery riders giving the management a hard time about waiting, we got our food within two minutes. It was piping hot, well presented and absolutely delicious especially given the price.
Have to give special mention to Max, who gave us great service and was super helpful even whilst under pressure.
Really enjoyed the experience thanks to Max, I hope he gets to read this and know that we appreciated his efforts.

Best coffee in Guildford, friendly service and an array of cakes that are all fresh and delicious. Child and dog friendly. They also do breakfast and lunches, take away if you like. This place is so good it can get quite busy. It is also popular with young mums and their children, but this only adds to the vibrant atmosphere.

Honestly, can't fault it. Really good tasty food, well prepared, gentle service, unfussy premises with straight wood tables. But ...most of all the food and value for money. It's popular! Whilst waiting for our food my partner counted 9 take-away orders to be processed! Constant food delivery people collecting.
We've been there before, twice, and the quality of the food has always been exemplary. And yes, we'll go there again, you can bet you months salary on that.

Nice batter on the fish, well cooked chips and decent size portions. The fish was not cooked fresh to order but didn’t taste like it had been sitting around too long.

Small cod, chips and mushy peas cost £12.50. The peas seem disproportionately expensive at £2.50.

Working locally I would have tried Riverside before for lunch but their lunchtime hours finish very early (before most people even start their lunch hour I would have thought.)
