Came in yesterday about 3.30 pm for a Steak and Cheddar pie. Absolutely superb, the best pie I've ever had in my life. Best pint of Guiness in North Shields to boot. Will be back!
Traditional pub with a great atmosphere in the heart of the fishquay. Pies are the showstoppers here. Steak and ale pie, chock-a-block with filling, Corned Beef pie is a classic done really well and probably the best we've ever had. Gravy rich and tasty and mushy peas are lush. Only criticism is that the battered cod was measly for the price. That was a let down. Whilst the Waterfront chippy at the bottom of the street can't compete on pies and pints, they do knock spots off...read full review

Never seen a corn beef pie as big as that , was amazing friendly staff , should of took a photo no one will believe I couldn’t finish it off huge size portions
