Thankfully the breakfasts are fabulous, including homemade baked beans and the coffee is top notch. Much better than the many homogenous Tynemouth coffee shops.Oh and home made scones. Lush like ❤️

Cumberland Arms Tynemouth
17 Front St, Tynemouth, North ShieldsWe went there for a drink and it was really lovely. Apparently it is one of the oldest bars in Tynemouth but newly renovated. It looks really good and the have a great selection of different drinks and beers. The toilets are also new and well kept. I can definitely recommend Cumberlands Arms Tynemouth for a drink.

Our server Amber was a sweetheart, always making sure we were served and having a good time. The food and drinks were amazing and I would definitely go back. Loved the atmosphere and location.

U8, The Beacon Centre, 40 Bedford St, North ShieldsIs the favourite place for all the seagulls and pigeons in North Shields. I have beautiful memories of same old Gregg's when sometimes a seagull helping themselves with crisps from the bottom shelf at the entrance.I recommend that Gregs keep feed the pigeons and let the seagulls keep stealing crips from the bottom shelf. Actually no is really bad for them. I do like them I don't know why people are offended I think that Greggs should feed them separately like the staff could thrown some pigeon food once in a while to keep them happy. Seagulls are nuisance lol probably Gregg's must make a fish menu or something for them too ?.

Coble Dene, North ShieldsVisited on Mother's day for the Sunday Carvery as a party of 6. There was an issue with our booking and my son couldn't find the booking confirmation.I was all ready to go home and cook but the staff tried super hard to fit us in. Checking for any parties ready to leave and eventually moving some tables round to get us in.The food was tasty and plentiful and the service friendly, welcoming and professional.

I also had a portion of chips and although they were deep fried they were not greasy at all. Check the price as they tried to over charge me.

Church Way, North ShieldsBeware as Google maps told us it was closed on Saturdays but it is open. It's a lovely bright space, comfortable for hours of chat without feeling you should leave! Good menu choices. Coffee was good. Friendly service. A great find!

59 Bedford St, North ShieldsFound this place while looking on Google maps so decided to have a look. Rang at 7pm and arrived by 7:30 (they close at 9) . Place was really quiet, only 2 other people eating. Given a menu & a special menu. We opted for the special. Both had veggie spring rolls , both had spicy chilli sauce, the Mrs opted for chicken, I asked for veggie which was no problem. Fried rice boiled rice or chips is also included. Also asked for a bottle of wine. Food was very good! Portion size was perfect. The place is a little dated but I don't spend long looking at wallpaper! We paid a total of £30, £10 of which was the bottle of wine! Can't argue with the price! Service was one lady who takes all takeaway orders, deals with customers and does the cleaning but she is lovely so all in really pleased to have found this place. Will definitely return!

They don't serve their own food other than bar snacks usually. There's a weekly quiz on a Wednesday, pre booking essential and a cheese board is provided. Dogs welcome. A wonderful local to have in the area.

Albert Edward Dock Royal Quays Marina, North ShieldsPopped down today for a takeaway brunch with my son. I had what was quite possibly the best ever (Cumberland) sausage and (Danish) bacon bap with some very moreish hash browns and he had the southern fried chicken wrap with sriracha mayo and sweet potato fries. All eaten in the car whilst enjoying the views ? Great service and so well organised.
