By far the BEST chips I’ve ever had! They have totally nailed the art of the chip! Deliciously tasty, soft but yet so perfectly crispy!
The vegan Chinese curry sauce absolutely divine!!

Power Station, A496, Blaenau FfestiniogDON'T take my 4 stars as being disappointed, it is more about the Gluten Free options for Coeliacs. So as a table of 8, we had two with Coeliac who had to watch the others eat. We did notice there was something available, but like we agreed with the staff, who were wonderfully honest with us about their kitchen setup, it wasn't worth risking.
So, on to the really nice stuff! The views were fantastic, and everyone was really nice and polite. The food was well portioned and reasonably priced, the atmosphere and décor were really interesting, and the toilets have clearly been updated.
If you wanted the extra star from me, I would love to have seen something like a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise, baked beans, or just cheese that was safely Gluten Free. I might make it sound simple, but it really can be... to safely cater to Coeliacs, a small, dedicated preparation space, a separate microwave solely for gluten free orders, with clean, dedicated utensils. Jacket potatoes are naturally gluten free, and simple fillings are incredibly easy to keep safe if prepared with uncontaminated equipment. The main thing is avoiding cross contamination. Simple steps like using a separate tub of butter that has not touched standard bread, and washing hands before prep make all the difference.
These are low cost adjustments that would mean everyone at our table gets to enjoy your wonderful café together. We would love to come back and give that 5th star next time :)

Meirion Vaults
High St, Blaenau FfestiniogThis is a proper pub pub, well priced booze, juke box and real friendly staff. We spent the whole evening laughing and joking with the owner and other pub goers that we just met. It honestly made our weekend and I can't wait to go back on my next trip. If you're in the area totally drop in for a cheeky pint or 2.

You have to keep in mind that it is comminity run, but the stay was pleasant, as were the people runing it.
One of the few times that I have had poor weather, so was happy to have a clean, warm and dry room at the end of the day.
I would certainly go back. ?

Going from the starters to mains ( big compliments to the chef ) it was unreal !! The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend . My fav by far!!!

The lady was extremely helpful, the food was amazing, and she even brought the food to the pub over the road so we could have a drink while we waited.
The food was delicious and stayed piping hot for 40 minutes.
If we weren’t here on our holiday, we would eat this every Friday.
Hopefully one day we’ll be back. Amazing.

18 Church St, Blaenau FfestiniogWas skeptical after reading other reviews but was pleased with the quality of the food. For 3 of us I had chicken satay, king prawn soft noodle, kung po chicken and egg fried rice for about £20 total; each of which were very generously portioned and tasted great. I wouldn't say anything was particularly spicy if that's your thing but it was a good experience. Note that it's CASH ONLY but there's an ATM at the Co-op down the road.
