Harvester Pontypool

We went to Harvester’s Pontypool today for lunch, it was busy but despite this the staff were excellent!! We really enjoyed our food and wanted to give special mention to Tom who was absolutely fantastic incredibly attentive, and really made the experience a good one!! We will definitely be back more often!

Amici D’Italia Pontypool

Was very busy with 'mums and unruly kids' but nice after they left. Fabulous food and massive portions. Unfortunately had run out of a lot of deserts. Definitely be going again.

The Horseshoe Inn & Country Kitchen

Such a lovely day, food was amazing, staff were superb and welcoming even down to the water bowl they provided for my dog and catered a extra couple of sausages for him, highly recommended for a lovely chilled vibe in the garden to the rear, toilets were so clean also.

Indiana Take Away

Let me just say these guys are busy and any slight delay is alright by us cos the food is freshly made and AMAZING!! \nPlaced an order for our 12th wedding anniversary .. big order ... Got there and was told straight away dessert was unavailable and was offered alternatives .. it happens and top notch service right there \nWaited about ten minutes .. was also given complimentary tasting of home made kebab while waiting (DELICIOUS!) and was given extra poppadoms at the end for being patient .. Very kind as our sons really enjoyed them !!\nFood was incredible .. piping hot and it made our night. Total value for money and would recommend without a doubt 10 / 10

The Carpenters Arms

Turned up on a Monday at 9pm on my bicycle. Closes at 10pm. Couldn't have been given a warmer welcome. Beautiful old authentic Welsh pub. Had a couple of pints. Luckily I had cash as cards aren't accepted. Will have to find an ATM as looking forward to visiting again. Wonderful place.

Rehmat Spice

Delicious and fragrant food. Super friendly people are working here. Many vegetarian options. Generous portions. I had veg biryani and veg samosas. All in all - a big YES PLEASE.

Market Square Coffee House

Very welcoming and lovely service. Great selection of home made cake. Had cappuccino and huge piece of delicious carrot cake. Sat outside & watched the world go by!

Family Grill House

Had a bad experience a week ago with order not turning up but owner messaged me and apologized directly and offered us 40%off next order to try them again and I was impressed this time. Bit of a hiccup with ordering on phone at start with order and address being wrong but they phoned me to make sure it was right and we corrected it. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Glad we gave u a 2nd chance and thankyou for the apology.

Porky's Pizzeria

Such a lovely pizza place! Staff were super friendly, and the shop is very smart looking. Tonight we ordered over the phone, the took card payment and delivered.
All arrived within the time they said, all piping hot. We ordered the You Must be Smoking, the Garlic Chicken, a pepperoni and the cheesy fries. The whole family enjoyed.
The You must be smoking was delicious and will be a future must for us! The BBQ was not overpowering, perfect balance, the smoky cheese on it was great!
We will definitely be ordering again.
It would be great if they uploaded a menu to their Google page or had a website. Had to hunt on their Facebook page for a menu.

Our food arrived on time and was still hot throughout. The food was lovely. I called the restaurant as we have allergies in our household and they could not have been more helpful. Will definitely order again.

Dinos Kebab

OMG...absolutely amazing! Haven't eaten a kebab in years as I find them greasy. The salad is super fresh, chips are amazing and the meat is really good and not greasy at all!
The portion size is mad. I had to order a child's kebab as the small I got before was ridiculous....the kids one is still huge. Extremely generous with it's all. Definitely use them again.

What an absolute privilege and an honour to be the first experienced reviewer to comment upon this place. I hope it brings forward some business benefits particularly when the McDonald’s nearby has been criticised so heavily.\nBecause my older wife wasn’t watching, I was able to have a bacon roll , but this doesn’t do it justice.\nThe lovely young lady serving gave me a pile of pork slices that would justify positioning as a high-rise feature on an ordnance survey map .\nShe then very kindly also provided extra napkins clear acknowledging that I would make a terrible mess as I ate it.\nI didn’t make a mess as it happened, but the napkins will be stored in the car as my wife uses them to wipe off excess lipstick on the occasion she leaves the house.\nHappy spring day and thank you.

I’ve been enjoying Lee’s Kitchen for the past 18 months, and every single time, the food has been consistently excellent. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the food is always ready on time. The prices are fair, and I don’t mind traveling from Cwmbran to Pontypool just to get their food. Highly recommend

There food is authentic and delicious. So last week I have eaten their tamarind flatter and Tikka biriyani also peshwary Nan all were really tasty.Parking: The place is nice and front side of restaurant so spacious anybody can use free parking.

Taste Good

This is probably the best Chinese takeaway I've ever been to. The staff was nice and the food was delicious ?. I ordered salt and pepper fries and it was so good I can't explain it! The best, I recommend this Chinese takeaway

This is my first time ordering from Beijing House and it DEFINITELY won't be the last! It was clear how fresh the ingredients used were and the meals tasted GORGEOUS!!! Lovely person on the phone and friendly delivery driver! See you Soon!!! ?

Denise's Fish Bar

The gentleman at the till who served us was delightful. After an eventful day, my family were quite miserable and he cheered us right up. He recommend places to go whilst we were visiting in wales and he was just so lovely. Food was delicious but the service was exceptional. Thank you to the gentlemen who served us. I’m not sure on his name but he recommend the Four Waterfall hike.

Istanbul Kebabs & Pizza House

Been using Istanbul for many years as we have found their kebabs and salad to be about the best around.
We have also found that they have really stepped up their game recently with lovely quality chicken and salad and freshly cooked chips as some of their double cooked chips were pretty awful in the past.We have had a few from them recently and they have been really nice. Keep up the good work ! ?

New Yummies

Absolutely devastated they are shut for the month. I've tried every other takeaway around Pontypool and Blaenavon and none of them do a kebab like yummies. They are all dry with hardly any salad or sauce. Can't wait for yummies to open back up after their holiday to have a proper kebab. Enjoy your holidays yummies

Fantastic Food At Good Prices!!!
In most places, for just two (2) people, it will cost between £40-£50+, we went to Choice last night ?, and for two (2) people, the Total came to £37.20!!
I do reccommend Choice for a good meal.

I love the food I think the packaging could be better as the containers get soft and when trying to unwrap the cling film makes it difficult but I do love the food I always order

Excellent welcome received from all the hard working friendly staff. The food quality is outstanding- this was our second first - \nfirst time we visited we had a top quality meal from the menu - home cooked hand cut chips ! \nOur second visit was for a wedding reception- the food again amazing and welcome fabulous. Definitely recommend and definitely go back

The Whistle Inn and Park

We found this restaurant/pub in two minutes on a Google search. We met family from England there on Saturday. I requested a full English on a pre order and they made one for me even though it wasn't on the current menu. Now that's service!

Brilliant fish and chips. Cheaper than most. Had it last night, 8 fish bites, 2 large chips, curry etc. Fish bites are huge for the price. Super delicious. Awesome food.

Horseshoe Fish Bar

Lovely place to get fish and chips. Popped there as we arrived to Wales for our camping trip. The staff was lovely, very friendly and we even got some tips for our trip, mini information centrum ?.

What a vibe, as a clock enthusiast I was in my element. Took me back in ‘time’ to when I was a little girl visiting my nan. The decor was timeless, as a postie my favourite clock is in a small cabinet bottom shelf to the right, you will know which one I’m talking about ?

Hands down the best Indian restaurant around! The food is always fresh and packed with flavor, and they don’t use any processed meats. Honestly, their chips alone are worth the visit—they’re amazing!

Had en excellent meal here. Not much to look at from the outside, interior was typical for an Indian restaurant, and was very quiet when we went (6:15 on a Sunday). The food quality was excellent, very fresh all round and they varied my main to my taste. Main portion sizes were large, rice and naan sizes medium. Definitely recommend.

Wow, first time ordering from Domino’s Pontypool and I’m very impressed. Ordered and delivered within 20 minutes. Food arrived piping hot which was lovely. Absolutely delicious, food was presented well too. Driver was quick, friendly and polite. Will definitely be ordering from here again ??

Marmaris Kebab House

The pizza was great, well-cooked, and tasty as always.

However, I had an issue with my milkshake - it was 10 days past the 'use by' date. The first time this happened, I didn't mention it since I kept the milkshake in the fridge and drank it the next day, thinking it was a one-off. But after it happened again, I contacted them, and they were quick to replace it with a fresh one. l'd recommend checking the dates on your drinks, just in case. While this did make me question the attention to detail with some of the items, the pizza was still delicious, and I'll definitely be ordering again - just double-checking the dates with the driver next time

Hopefully, they'll be more vigilant with
dates moving forward.

Great food though no issues there :)
