Main Rd, Austrey, AtherstoneA really fantastic pub. Good selection of cask ales, lovely pub garden, very friendly service, and an excellent menu. The chef cheerfully made some vegan substitutions, and everything was delicious. Best of all is Ralph the pub dog, who is extremely welcoming and affectionate! 5 stars for sure.

Main Rd, Newton Regis, TamworthExcellent little pub, we ended up here for lunch part way round a 16mile walk. Enjoyed the Timothy Taylors. Felt hungry on arrival so went for the sharing platter for starters with mains being steak pie and meat balls (fa99ots). All the food was great and well cooked. Good portion sizes, problem was we could hardly move afterwards to complete the walk! Definitely deserves more customers. (PS, ask the owner her thoughts about peas...)
