What a great little gem of a local pub that we didn’t know existed but will definitely be back!

We went for a family meal to celebrate my birthday here and the food was delicious! I had the chip shop board, the food was very yummy. The fish and scampi was lovely and crispy, the battered sausage was good too. The chip shop curry sauce was the best! I also tried the lamb shank as a family member ordered that, and that was also delicious. It fell right of the bone and the gravy was beautiful.

The pudding also came with a small golden shovel to eat with, which was a great little detail.

The staff were very attentive to our needs, we were running a bit late and they were very accommodating with that. They let us know there would be a bit of a wait for food, understandable as it was busy and this is also on their menu, but honestly it’s so worth it.

There was some live music from 8:30, which got quite loud and made it a bit hard to talk but we’d finished our meal by that point. The atmosphere was great though!
