I was at a bottomless brunch and our table was served by Bella. The service from.Bella was exceptional. She listened attentively to our input and met all our needs superbly. Bella is definitely an asset to the company.

Excellent. We had a great evening. It was a Thursday night. On a Wednesday and Thursday they do a 3 course menu for £36.\nIt really didn’t disappoint. Calamari and sticky chicken to start, very tasty for both. We then both had the ribeye, cooked medium, to perfection, 2 different sauces which were really good. Loved the crunchy onion side and the wedge of lettuce. Pudding was so good, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. Both so good. Very friendly, attentive staff, we waited exactly the right amount of time for everything. Fantastic value for what we had. Can’t fault it

Been to Cheals a few times over the years. Their tasting menu has always been a worth while experience and the afternoon tea is up there with some of the better ones I've have at that price range.
Good atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

Would come back yet another time and highly recommend it!

Bread Collection

10/10 service always. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. The pastries are sensational and the hot food is also great. If ever in knowle definitely aim to pop in!

The drinks made by Qas were incredible so refreshing and perfectly balanced. Huge shoutout to Ameen, the manager, for being so welcoming and professional, and to Hamza for his amazing service and friendly attitude Honestly, everything was 10/10 great food, drinks, and atmosphere. The lloyds Indian Restaurant

We always have a delivery from Lloyds. Omg the food is absolutely amazing By far the best we have had. We always have a chicken bhuna. The chicken is always soft and delicious I highly recommend this place.

Giggling Squid - Knowle

One of our party had the duck dish, there was a little too much fat left on but when our bill came they had deducted it without us asking. That’s what I call great customer service.

The Delhi

I loved my ‘vegan’ Indian dinner when I dined with three local friends at Panchuli. I was visiting from Canada and would definitely return to this restaurant again. The staff were very accommodating and made sure everything from our table, drinks and food were excellent. We had a table upstairs beside a beautiful chandelier. It was a very busy night but we could easily visit without too much background noise by the other diners and service was excellent. Look forward to returning.

the politeness of the staff We had Bronwen looking after us, She was 100% excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The Sunday Lunch {we had the lamb + vegetarian for our son} was excellent. A lovely pudding as well. We would recommend this establishment without any hesitation Steve Taylor

Lovely lunch for 2 at Cote. The French onion soup was delicious as well as the potted crab. The pistachio creme brûlée was a treat and really tasty. We were served by Joshua who was polite, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

My husband booked a masterclass for us two years ago, before I was pregnant. We haven't been able to use it until now (first date night!) The experience that was originally offered changed and the team were so flexible with us, making sure we didn't lose out. The experience was informative and fun, the food was delicious. Chef A (so sorry, I can't read the full name on the card) and his colleague were friendly and helpful. I really commend the masterclass, and the restaurant (never had a bad experience or bad food - the food is SO good. Best Katsu Chicken ever too!!)

Great atmosphere, Turkish lamps / lights look cool. Probably the best Turkish food in the Midlands, we come here for all occasions. The staff is friendly, polite and extremely accommodating - top notch :)

Kings Arms Knowle

My husband and I decided to have lunch here, as the pub is in a lovely location by the side of a canal, and we liked the look of the menu.
Inside was clean and nicely decorated, and we had a friendly welcome from Oscar.
I ordered Crab Thermidore on Sourdough, and my husband Fillet Steak sandwich. Mine was delicious, although the fries were overdone and a bit too hard, the same for my husband, but also his bread was overtoasted, and he couldn't taste any caramelised onions, but the steak was perfectly cooked.
I can't fault the service from the bar and waiting staff, Oscar and Victoria, they were both friendly, professional, and helpful.
Although a little bit disappointed that something as simple as fries and toast weren't right, we will definitely be back, as overall we did enjoy our lunch.

Always a lovely warm welcome and Anne always looks after my mother in law and takes the time to chat and make her feel welcome. Food is great and we come every week.

We visited the newly revamped Drum And Monkey as always it didn't disappoint , management has changed , service and food just as good as before. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere , we can highly recommend you give it a try if you have not been before.

Feel compelled to write a good review for these guys given all the poor ones. We booked a take for six (two adults, four kids) on a busy Friday night. We were treated to a really well-cooked meal; great portions a lovely flavours. I must say that the money saved by taking your own booze is a real bonus, particularly when taking the whole family out for important together-times. Ignore the unnecessary reviews-this place is great.

The Railway Inn

We went last Sunday it was great from start to finish. They had disabled parking, which was right outside.
They were prompt in seating us and taking our order. The drinks came and soon after the food. One of our party had beef and The other person had pork. The food was amazing the Yorkshires are huge! The portions are generous and therefore filling.
The area we sat in which was opposite the bar was not huge, but it did not feel cramped. It has recently been renovated to a high standard and this was noted by us.
We were able to take Home a doggy bag for our pooch, which was great and thoroughly enjoyed by Luca!
Perhaps the only improvement we would like to suggest is more vegetables on the plates and less carbs!
Great food and great service, therefore happy customers and customers who will be back and raving about it to other people!

My partner and I have recently visited Platform Three a few nights back after it was recommended to us. We always looked for places that have a warm and welcoming environment. The food we had was exceptional and the waiting and bar staff did a wonderful job of looking after us before and after our meal even though they were very busy, they couldn’t of done more for us. I would very much recommend this place to anyone who would like a relaxing evening. 100% would visit again!

Spice Club

We have been going to the Spice club since it opened about 20 years ago. Raj and his colleagues have always been amazing, very attentive to our every need. The food has been consistently delicious, including the many takeaways we have had over the years. Frequently visit the Brasserie in Knowle, have always felt very welcomed, the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed and child friendly. The service has always been superb and the food is fantastic, very reasonably priced especially the Sunday set meal offer! Came here on 2 consecutive nights, staff were so friendly and helpful. Had a wait for food the second night, the staff were brilliant! Apologised many times and brought a free drink for the people without their meal and a shot for the whole party, can’t fault them! Excellent customer service

We were served by Nat for our bottomless Brunch on Saturday 17th August- we had a great girls day - drinks, atmosphere, service and vibes were all great! The Orange Tree

Not our first visit. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Also catering to us bringing our dog too. The food is delicious and presentation is great. Love the log fire, such a relaxing venue.

The Kitchen Co Eatery

I often order delivery from here. Food is always top notch. I decided to visit and order takeaway as I was passing this way. The restaurant looked beautiful inside, lovely decor, clean and inviting, the staff member wasn't very welcoming though. To order takeaway you have to go around the back to a hatch, when I got to the hatch the staff member was sat on a chair and didn't really acknowledge me. Another staff member came into view and said hello. The one sat down then stood up to take my order. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier and she seemed to struggle to understand my question and I felt her to be a little abrupt with me. I finally placed my order, I popped to a nearby shop and when I returned my food was ready, I noticed when I got home that 2 items I'd asked for were not there, after checking the receipt they had not been added, but I know I'd asked for them. The food as always was absolutely delicious!! I think I'll stick to delivery in future as its so much easier to order online than in person.

Village Grill - Village Hotel Solihull

Excellent gym, good equipment, decent pool and excellent staff in particular Kerry B.S he has been fantastic. Very professional, warm and welcoming - because of Kerry i referred two other family members both whom joined the gym - they met Kerry and felt the same about her. I automatically knew who they were talking about. Keep up the super work. Have met some rude/snobby new staff members however I wouldn't fault the older staff members therefore still giving a 5 star review :)

I use this spot to charge my car and have a breakfast whilst I wait.\nThe staff that served my meal was very friendly and polite\nTook my tray away but reassured me I didn’t need to rush off, which was very welcoming… if it had been heaving with patrons I would’ve moved to my car to free up the space\n\nBut I thought, time for a positive review\nDidn’t get her name, blonde hair and glasses at 8.37am on 12/7/25 if you want to give her a gold star :)

Great for families and awesome if you have small children and we had our 3 year old granddaughter. Food is good and sausages for a small girl we're excellent. Great positioning on the High Street and easy parking close by. Been a lot over many years. Bit light on staff and they were great.

Suggested to download the apps for the latest offer. I enjoyed the complimentry Whopper, offered to the first purchase. The food is great, marvellous, together with the refilled soft drink. However, I would appreciate if the teens didn't smoke e-cigarettes indoor.

Ale Rooms

visited today on the recommendation of friends. Wow. Genuinely a warm welcome from Mark, ale treated with respect, an absolutely brilliant line of cask with some great keg. Made to feel like you belong from the second hellos were given. Can't wait for the next visit.

Ellora

I absolutely love it here from the first time I came, I’ve been back several times now. The food is so flavourful and great quality, lots of vegetarian and vegan options too! We love the atmosphere in here and the staff are really lovely, I recommend it to everyone when coming to Knowle.

Knowle Fish Bar

Oggi and his family provided excellent food and service for our daughter’s wedding night reception. All guests were readily forthcoming in their praise for the quality, value for money and the amount of food that was provided. Would highly recommend this establishment.

This is a favourite local curry house. The staff are always extremely welcoming and friendly. The food is always of a good quality and it's great value for money.

Loki Wine Bar & Shop Knowle

A wonderful afternoon of champagne tasting. Gary is super helpful and knowledgeable about the wines and champagnes. Absolutely wonderful, we will be back to discover the latest 32 wines on tap in the bar area! A lovely nibbles menu too to accompany it.

The Jade Wok

I recently had a very pleasant evening at Jade Wok! The Chinese food here is truly delicious, with every dish full of authentic flavors. They even offered complimentary prawn crackers when we sat down, which was a lovely touch. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, making the dining experience even better. Jade Wok is definitely my top recommendation in Solihull, and if you love Chinese food, this is a must-visit place!

Costa Coffee

After a stressful day and a day where I hadn't had chance to drink or eat all day.\nAfter leaving I thought I would get a Costa for on my way home as I had an hour and a bit drive to get home. \nI went into the store greeted by 2 lovely workers. Got my toastie and orange juice, went to pay and the points machine was down. That didn't matter too much then went to actually pay and payments were also down. I never carry cash, their was no cash points local and they had no other way of me paying. Aaron who was on at the time apologized, due to being unable pay any other way offered to pay for my food and drinks, I tried to transfer the money to him but I appreciate he would have to give me his bank details and he said.. please just give us a nice review! So here it is because after a very long day this certainly made it a nicer one and he definitely went above and beyond regarding customer service. I hope you get the money back through work Aaron or at least get some recognition. Thank you because it made my day. :)

Loving the new renovations feels light and airy. Food was yummy as usual. I would've loved to have had the portobello mushroom and hallomi pitta, but it's no longer available. The food we ordered was still yummy, and the guy at the till managed to make us something similar to what we wanted.

Soulless cavernous space which tries to drown the echoing silence with piped music - loud music doesn't make an atmosphere!! Try a smaller venue. Definitely overpriced at almost £20 for burger, fries and drink, no matter how unique you think cooking spuds in peanut oil is.

Costa Coffee

Me and my girls are regulars here. Good wifi, aircon, spacious. Amazing staff! You know what you're getting coffee and cake wise. Free babychinos are a winner.

The customer service was excellent and the service too, we were served by Safa and she was just fantastic.The manager was very polite and helpful too. We didn’t wait long at all for our food to be served.

Zizzi - Solihull

Excellent all round service from all the members of staff on duty (29.12.24) - nothing was too much for them. The food was beautifully cooked and presented; that plus the pleasant ambiance, made it to be an enjoyable visit.

The Warwickshire Lad

The food here is always excellent, and the chef is happy to accommodate any requests, no matter how you like your dish.

Everyone who served us was friendly and welcoming, but I’d especially like to mention Conor. He was witty and humorous, but also handled a situation with real professionalism when someone nearby took unwell. He managed it calmly and effectively—very impressive.

Nelsons Fish & Chips

Passing through and popped in for to go food in the car. Service was fine and the fish was delicious. Chips were fine, but the pasty was prepackaged. Good for taking away, but not road trip food.

The White Lion

The rooms a kind of unique and lovely,but keep in mind if any event will go on you might either not sleep early or you request for a room not directly over the pub. The staff and service was excellent. Food was delicious and if you like beer you can get there plenty.

Cleopatra's Kitchen - Shirley

Food was absolutely perfect, service was exceptional. I do feel it’s rather expensive for what you get. Whilst it’s very nice, paying £14 for just a Kebab is rather expensive.

Fukuoka Japanese Restaurant

The best Takoyaki! We came in on a quiet Tuesday and the server was lovely, the restaurant has lovely decor and very authentic. The food was served within excellent time and did not disappoint, we will absolutely be returning again. Thank you for having us.

Cafe Chutneys Solihull

The food at 'Chutneys' was absolutely spot on, I'd go far as saying the best Indian we've ever had! My friend and I had a lovely dinner, everything was beautifully cooked and flavoursome, and it was all really fairly priced especially when considering the quality. Thank you to Little Mo, Shaun and Noyon for making it such an enjoyable evening and being so welcoming.
We are not local, but we would happily drive down from up North to come and eat here again!! ??⭐️

The Two Mugs

What a fabulous little cafe, from the moment you walk in you feel at home and the staff are welcoming. I had a latte with their Greek yoghurt and granola breakfast which was excellent value for money. There is outside seating with a canopy at the front and a great selection of food and drinks. I shall definitely return.

it's such a well managed place to go, the acts they have on are brilliant and it such a good atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. it is now our go to place on a Saturday for the live music.

Blue Bell Cider House

My local from when I was 18 , I'm now 70 so that must say something , only had a drink but I know from the past the food is excellent.
Returned on 21/7/25 with the intention of ordering Fish , Chips and Peas but decided to just have a drink as £19•50 is way over the top. The Cider i have been drinking for quite a few years ( Black Rat) tasted terrible and it has been like that for a few weeks. All in all not as good an experience as I had expected. Come back Allan & Pam is all I can say .

Caspian Pizza Shirley is always a great experience! The staff and manager are super friendly and always smiling. Service is fast, the place is clean, and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

This must be some of the best value restaurant food anywhere. Everything I've tried here has been in the range very tasty to excellent. The prices are brilliant and the staff are lovely. It's one of my favourite restaurants of all time.

Second time I’ve had an order, and it’s been again amazing one of the best curry’s I’ve had and I couldn’t speak so highly about the quality of the food having a take away is a real treat for us so to have that treat 10/10 in quality everytime just makes it’s extra Special

The Red Lion

We visited The Red Lion in Knowle for a quiz night and had a really enjoyable evening. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The quiz itself was well-run and added a brilliant touch to the night. We ordered drinks which were reasonably priced and served quickly. I tried a dessert afterwards – it was okay but could have been better, not quite as impressive as the rest of the experience. Overall though, it’s a great spot for a night out and definitely worth visiting.

Espresso (Dorridge Train Station Cafe)

I love this place. The pastries are the best as is the coffee. Perfect for a quick visit before train or even when you're not catching a train! Dog friendly too.

Wharf Tavern

Good beer, attentive service but just better than average food. I’ll explain. The previous night we ate at an expensive pub a few miles down the canal. I felt it under-delivered the pub vibe and over-delivered slightly poncy food at what we felt were expensive prices. At the Wharf Tavern we got decent food in a nice pub atmosphere at prices nearly as expensive as the place from the previous night. Did we get better value from the poncy place or the Wharf? Hard to tell. Would we go back to the Wharf? Probably, yes. Would we go back to the poncy place? For a treat, maybe. There’s the difference. Without meaning it as an insult, The Wharf is a Common or Garden variety British pub with honest beer and food even if just a little expensive than we hoped. So on balance it was perfectly fine and we had a decent meal.

Elderberry Blacks Café

Had all day breakfast with wife, eggs how you like them both happy with selection and our breakfast, plenty of tea one pot for two and hot water top up if required. Dod friendly, infants play pen. Only moan was floor needed some food scraps sweeping up must have been from morning service. Looking forward to next visit.

Shelly Farm Fryer

Always get my fish & chips here. Delicious & can be cooked to desired liking eg: my friend likes & only eats fish well cooked. Great service. Lovely friendly accomodating management & staff. Great selection of food. Always freshly cooked, hot & delicious. Thanks all. Keep up the great service.

Great local pub, massive beer garden. Often has a live band or disco on weekends. Quite reasonable pub prices on drinks, but crisps / nuts etc only food available.

Haslucks Fish Bar

Came up to visit my dad from Devon and we came here to get some fish and chips. He’s been multiple times and has never had a bad experience. We both got fish and chips and he got curry sauce and it was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t recommend this place more. The prices were good, not too expensive, and they cooked the fish for you pretty much on arrival. Jane, the lovely lady who served us, was helpful and went through all the options available and was so kind. I cannot recommend this place enough. Please come here if you’re ever in Shirley or live nearby!

Dietary restrictions: They accommodate to all allergies, just make sure you tell them when ordering, which is usual practice.

Parking: Easy to park and go in, no problems at all, even though it was busy!

The works pizza without olives and onions with added sweetcorn was amazing! Loved every bite. The warm cookie pizza was nice and had the right amount of cinnamon on it or whatever sweetener they use ? Buffalo hot wings were scrumptious too

Lincoln Farm Truck Stop

Quiet patking with plenty of parking spaces all the time. Local and international drivers are using this place as well.
It works very well with SNAP account , not sure about the card or cash payment.

I will only ever go to this shop as there’s a particular store colleague there called Aaron (I think that’s his name, apologies if not). His customer service is superb. He goes above and beyond and can’t do enough to help you. Nothing is too much trouble. He’s so warm and welcoming. Such a lovely person. He’s a pleasure to deal with. I wish all customer service staff were just like him. Well done Greggs for employing such an amazing employee. He deserves every bit of recognition. Will continue to frequent your Solihull High Street shop whilst you have amazing staff like that serving.

Greggs never disappoints! I recently stopped by for a quick bite, and as always, I was impressed. Their selection of baked goods is fantastic, and everything is always fresh and delicious. I had early breakfast before work yesterday, the staff worked fast which I like it. It was clean ( my table and chair )which I like that too. I dislike seeing my table … sticky + have a sticky menu. ^________^ well done. ( guess it is every one s effort. Please keep it up by using the D10 detergent from time to time.

I visited this costa on Saturday 18/10/2025 and although I have always enjoyed a latte from there quite frequently, I managed to find a new love for a sweet treat (which is the Halloween cornflake cake), recommended to me by the lovely Mia on the service window. She was so bubbly and kind which I needed due to a disappointing start to my weekend :( she asked me how I was and was very intrigued and enthusiastic with me regarding what I was planning on doing with my day. She is an asset to Shirley Costa Coffee and I would love to know that she gets recognition and praise for being such a wonderful and caring young lady. She changed the trajectory of my day so made my Saturday, and my drink ;), a little bit sweeter by just being so lovely. It is worth the price you pay for the drink/snack just to interact with this exceptional Costa employee that goes above and beyond. Thank you Mia!!

Domino's Pizza - Birmingham - Sheldon

Substantial pizzas with sizeable toppings made with fresh ingredients. I would have appreciated the option of a thin crust, but at least the dough was reasonably light.

Starbucks Coffee

Memorable experience (21-Dec-24), this shop has been at this location for over a decade, got me nostalgic and had me reminiscing on my visit to the area. Glad I went here after visiting the Christmas market. The lady behind the counter very kindly gave my kids a free chocolate coin each, which was unexpected and generous. The drinks were perfectly crafted, and the staff were all smiles and friendly. Atmosphere in the shop was warm and welcoming. Will always go here whenever I’m in the area, plus Touchwood is nice and cosy. Not overpriced (£3.25 for a Tall latte) it’s fair compared to other coffee shops in the area (Cafe Nero, Costa, and Pret), if you want a cheap coffee while out then make it at home and take it out with you in a flask or go to McDonalds for a vending machine coffee which will set you back £2.19.
