What a great little place. Nestled away from the busy main road. A tiny brown sign guides you down a small country lane. Sitting on the corner of this lane, is an unassuming building with a sign that reads, George And Dragon. It's an old pub with lots of character, a tombstone and a roaring fire. First visit to a pub that I’ve seen signposted for years … and am now regretting not stopping there before. Beautiful old pub ( with amazing new extension at the back now) and a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. We were there to have dinner with friends - had a great meal chosen from a well-thought through menu, with friendly service. Thank you to the lady behind the bar and also to Seb for a lovely evening. We would wholeheartedly recommend The George and Dragon as a wedding reception. It is a beautiful settling and the function room was perfect.
