The Black Horse Inn
A283, Byworth, PetworthFairly quiet when we visited mid week in the middle of winter (hence a 4☆ on atmosphere) but we know from previous visits it gets busy and buzzy in the summer. Service and food (a prawn dish and a ploughman's) were excellent and the real log fire was appreciated.

1 Leppards, High St, PetworthMy husband and I were looking for a cafe in Petworth. We could hear the happy buzz of chattering further down the street. It was perfect! Staff were professional and helpful, and the food was simply delicious!
If we lived nearer to Petworth, we would be regulars there ourselves. I'm sure we'll be back at some point.

What a kind and thoughtful man Sitar is, surprising us all with a birthday cake!
The main meal was outstanding and we laughed and smiled throughout the evening.
Would highly recommend a visit, not just because of the great service, but the unusual nature of eating in a stunning underground restaurant.

The Three Moles
Selham, PetworthWe have found our new favourite place to go on a Sunday for a roast dinner!! After seeing an advert on a local Facebook community page, we decided to go last minute and we are so glad we did. Not only was the food absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were excellent. The value for money was also great (currently only £29.95 for 3 courses and a great selection) and with parking being easy, we can’t wait to come back soon!! Thank you Three Moles!!

The service was stand out and very attentive and they even offered to help us with blowing up balloons. We will definitely be coming back!

Petworth House Audit Room café
Church St, PetworthNice place for a cuppa and chat with family/friends. Gluten free cakes available and decaff coffee and soya milk. Such a grand room to have a cafe.Only tip would be to get a large size drink as the regular size cup is not that big. Think it was only 35p extra to go large.You can also go here without being NT member. Will definitely return again.

There was a friendly welcome and a warm cosy feel on a very rainy day. The pub is spacious and has a good atmosphere. There is a covered outdoor area that was getting good usage in February. ☔️
There is a good offer on a set menu. I had the soup of the day and a vegan roast.
The butternut squash and tomato soup was excellent. The vegan option substituted roast meats for grilled courgette. While it was tasty, the kitchen could consider options that are the same value for money as the carnivore options - and like-for-like roasties! ?
The beef and Yorkshire pudding was described as excellent.

Newlands House Gallery, Pound St, PetworthGreat place for brunch and baked goods. Ordered the smoked salmon and avocado toast and it was a very generous portion for the price. What stole the show was the chocolate brownie which was fudgy and rich, I had to buy an extra to take home with me! Friendly staff and lovely relaxed atmosphere
