76 High St, SteyningDined here after a day of walking on the South Downs Way. Absolutely delicious meals. We had the pasta with tomatoes and mussels, lasagna and chicken pizza and were not disappointed. The sauce was unbelievable! Having been to Italy, I can honestly say that the food is authentically Italian. You will love it!

Shoreham Rd, Upper Beeding, SteyningA really fantastic roast dinner. Plentiful portions, beautifully cooked. Crispy roast potatoes with fluffy insides, home made Yorkshire's , quality meat and a nice range of perfectly cooked vegetables and a big jug of gravy. Roast dinner like it should be. Lovely friendly staff and great service.

130 High St, SteyningThe pie of the day was short rib beef, served with mash, savoy and gravy. It was outstanding. Coupled with a lovely pint of Harveys, this was an excellent lunch.

Superb traditional bread and cakes. A step back in time in the best way.
Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
It's a shame they are down to the One shop now which is well worth seeking out.
Much better quality and value than the chain bakery on the High Street.

Ashurst, SteyningLovely traditional pub full of charm and a warm welcome. Tasty food, great service and relaxing atmosphere. Lovely garden too, we will visit when the weather is warmer to enjoy the outdoor space.

High St, Upper Beeding, SteyningFound this place whilst waiting for a bus back to Shoreham. Nicest Subway I have ever visited. Good welcome, spotless premises. I had my favourite meatball sub and a very decent cappuccino. The sub was hot and flavourful. It was so nice to discover this branch as I often go for walks in the countryside but do get hungry, and whilst a pub lunch is very nice when you have the time, this really hits the spot. The gentleman serving was friendly and kind: don’t think I have ever been asked previously in a fast food place whether I enjoyed my food and was there anything else. Will visit again soon and recommend to other walkers.

The Castle Inn Hotel
The St, SteyningPopped in for lunch after a lovely dog walk along the river. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We chose two courses from the lunch menu which was absolutely divine. I would recommend the food as it was first class. Will be coming again soon.

The White Horse Smokehouse & Grill
23 High St, SteyningFirst time we have visited and went in for lunch. Welcome was warm and the food gorgeous. We had garlic bread, a burger, Fish and chips and onion rings. A decent portion of Garlic Bread, soft and flaky fish, homemade burger and scrumptious chips. Definitely going on our favourite pub list!
