The Claremont Inn

Only stayed for one night as was visiting to attend a funeral. I can’t recommend enough as Sam was so welcoming, friendly, helpful and very accommodating to our needs. We visited the pub after a difficult day and was greeted by a lovely helpful and extremely friendly barman which was needed after the day we had..The Family room was a bargain price, spotlessly clean with lovely little extras and tea making facilities. . Comfy beds with clean and lovely fresh smelling bedding (and I’m fussy when it comes to bed linen).
Despite the review I’d seen regarding the outdoor staircase to the room this was not a problem as it was still accessible even for my 78 yr mum who has walking difficulties. (The staircase is very sturdy with railings).
If ever we visit here again then this will definitely be my first choice for a very reasonably priced clean good nights sleep.
They say you get what you pay for .. well for what we paid for the night we got a lot more.
